Ooo, your really drinking the Jakes cool-aid. Come on now, you know good and well its all about the MONEY and being recognized more in a secular arena. Spiritual? I think not. When I lived in Dallas I attended his church numerous times and his entire congregation is CARNAL! The only thing I liked was that for a "mega church" they really allowed God to come in and take control of the services (that IS when the Lord decided to show up...at times service could be 3 to 3.5 hours long) but after being approached from his members wanting to basically "beat me down" for commenting on him wearing an earring out side of the pulpit, I knew good and well that true change was not coming to "the potters house" lest I forget to inform you of the people I ran into in the streets who went there faithfully and still clubed, drank and curesed everyone out on there secular jobs......pulease...........Inspirational Speaker/Motivator...YES....oracle of God...Mmmmm, NO!

I have been a personal friend and guest of Bishop Jakes many times for many years. I knew him before he owned his own tape duplicating equipment and before he owned a video camera. My sons and I have eaten at his table in many places around the nation for breakfast, lunch, dinner and midnight snaks and I can promise you that - One thing that Bishop Jakes is NOT - Is ARROGANT! He is very CONFIDENT in God and in himself and I admire that incredibly! He is a very gifted and powerful man of God.

If this report is true, then why get out of his calling to do something he will struggle at, have to sale out for and eventually lose his anointing over?

My gut instinct is a watered down feel good show.

How far can the truth be watered down and still be affective.

AB that is an entirely different thing than someone just learning about him on TV. Maybe he has become bigger than his message to some.

Ask yourself, would you want a pastor like T.D. Jakes who spends more time in Hollywood and less time at your church?

Either he's called to pastor a church and preach the gospel or seek fame as a TV celebrity.I'll just quote the scripture, "Let everyman abide in the calling wherewith he was called"!.

The bible warns sternly about avoiding getting entangled in th affairs of this life. What has happened, Jakes and others have used outside the box evangelism as an excuse for worldly behavior.
