Prayer lines do occur in UPC but if someone is just tarrying for the holy ghost, break thru, blessing or whatever, don't you think it's best for the saints to get involved rather then sit on their bottoms and do nothing??

Every so often we get a unofficial dismissal in the African American Apostolic church. But 9.9 times out of 10 the service does come to an end and seekers are just left to keep seeking God at the Altar with no disturbance. I've pulled people out of the prayer line before (under the command of God) and taken them straight to the altar and tarried with them. Next thing I knew, the church was almost empty. No one bothered me.
Oh and another thing, I kinda miss the ushers and the sheets. You know in my neck of the woods, the ushers carry around the sheets to thrown on people when they are rolling all over the floor (well, the women that is). Yesterday I so wanted to throw a few sheets over people that were at the altar. But again, its a cultural thing. I am getting use to all of this.
Also, has far as the mustache thing, I've been told that in order to hold positions most UPC Pastors do want you to be clean shaven. I want to be used and refuse to me a bench warmer, so if I gotta shave, well, I gotta shave. Is it a heaven or hell issue. NOPE. But I'll be obediant.
Ohh, and you know I miss my robes and clergy attire too. It just something about preaching in a robe (lol) again, yet another cultural thing.
