Re: Incision Infected

Good news bad news!

The good news is that what happened was that a stich became abcessed. I don't appear to have an infectoin of the actual incision.

The bad news is that to check out the incision for possible infection the doctor had to numb my stomach and reopen the incision (hole). About an hour after I got home the numbing shot wore off and I am hurting like I was not long after surgery. I am now starting from scratch again on one of my three holes / incisions healing. Arghhh!!!! In a lot of pain so broke down and took a pain pill. Unfortunetely problems at work I am trying to troubleshoot so I am stuck at my work computer feeling pretty bad.

"We did not wear uniforms. The lady workers dressed in the current fashions of the day, ...silks...satins...jewels or whatever they happened to possess. They were very smartly turned out, so that they made an impressive appearance on the streets where a large part of our work was conducted in the early years.

"It was not until long after, when former Holiness preachers had become part of us, that strict plainness of dress began to be taught.

"Although Entire Sanctification was preached at the beginning of the Movement, it was from a Wesleyan viewpoint, and had in it very little of the later Holiness Movement characteristics. Nothing was ever said about apparel, for everyone was so taken up with the Lord that mode of dress seemingly never occurred to any of us."

Re: Incision Infected

Thanks everybody. I think I am hurting about the same as after the surgery. It is weird. I thought I was all past that and almost healed!

The pain pill really didn't do much except make me naseous. I think I can take one or two at a time so may have to take two tonight to sleep. I hate pain medicene and had only taken a total of four pills since the surgery until today.

If I am not on much the next day or two don't worry. I just can't take the pain meds and then get on the computer much. I get seasick!
