It's an electric car that can store enough electricity to run the car for the first 40 miles before the gas generator will need to kick in. They are estimating that a full tank of gas will take you 680 miles. (They will use smaller tanks!)

Right now I spend over $300 a month in gas (premium) for my car. They say that the cost of electricity to power it up is less than 1/5 the cost of gas. You can plug it in every night into a regular home outlet!

Well, its an ugly car to me.

I get 35-38 mpg/highway now on my 96 civic, and the 08 civic hybrid can do 45 mpg.

I'll take a Honda over a Chevy any day of the week.

I actually think the car, as it is currently shown, looks pretty sharp. Like something that would be much more expensive then the $30+ something it will sell for.

And yes, it is ENTIRELY electric. Imagine an all-electric car with a Coleman generator stuck in the truck to power it when the batteries run low. This is essentially how it operates. You still plug it in at night to recharge, so the gas you put in may last from weeks to months depending on how often the generator kicks in.
