Thanks Chosen and the others that commented

It's sad that this man gave his life and this is all the thanks he gets

Mark, this truly is such a tremendous tragedy and as Americans, even though we didn't know him, it's a loss for all of us. When one of our own, sacrifices his or her life in the act of service for our country, it's a loss for the entire nation. May the Peace of God which truly does go beyond all human understanding, be with you, this family, your community and all who were so heavily impacted by this terrible loss.

Also, right along with the sentiments of so many others, the work with the choir was anointed and a fitting tribute to a fallen hero. God bless you my Brother.

I read on a myspace or blog where his wife said she was excited about the governor and his wife attending. That's too bad he wasn't able to be there.

Your choir was great, as always. I'm sure your church made the community proud.

Re: Our Church on TV!! A soldier's homegoing!

St. Mark, I have not had a chance to watch the video yet but will. I am so pleased that your church honored this young man and his family this way.

It is young men like him willing to put themself in harms way that has sustained this country for over 200 years.

I am so sorry he lost his life in that endeavor but if you have a chance to tell his family let them know that many, many Americans are thankful for his sacrifice and that it was not in vain.

Mark,

Sorry to hear of this loss.
It is tragic when a life is cut short like this.
