Sounds like a great honor to me! Having Governor's speak at Pentecostal services is nothing new for the UPC in La.

Back in the 1970's when that rascal Edwin Edwards was Governor he was a great friend of the UPC in the state and was invited behind the pulpit at campmeeting to speak to the congregation. He was quite the showman and knew how to get the crowd revved up.

That relationship came in handy several times as the UPC's influence with the Governor helped the UPC several times in dealings with the state.

All logan knew was the governor lived in baton rouge...just like LSU! lol he now knows a little more.

Not sure what he thought...he is a very religious man. so i am sure it wasnt a big deal to him. i saw where the bearded man was up there....lol our pastor called for the ministers of the church to come pray...i have no idea why he went. the bearded man is a good man tho. he could pray for me any day. he is a worshiper.

they go to La camps ALLLLLL THE TIME!!!! it gets old year after year having to sit and listen to everyone that holds a position speak. i must say, bro cox has cut some of it out.
