Both my kids home schooled. My daughter is in 9th grade and my son graduated last year. My son was home schooled through the 11th grade and went to a public school for his senior year. We breezed through the 12 grade, never brought home homework one time and GRADUATIED SECOND in his class.
When he took his sat test he scored high enough to be excepted in any university.
He just landed a good job at Lockheed Martin and is doing very well. They will now pay his way through college. Praise God.
That is absolutely terrific.
I wish I'd been able to homeschool my daughter, but she's doing exceptionally well in school and always has, but they have slowed her down.
Thankfully, she's in HS now and can move at a much faster pace. She's the only freshman in her algebra class because she already took the freshman equivalent a couple years ago.
I can't wait to see what her SAT and ACT scores are like. She is college bound (will be starting next semester) and hopes to get her Master's in four years after graduation.
I have no idea where she comes from though! She loves school!!

His yes man? Have you lost yer mind? LOL! OM and I are friends in real life. Because of that, I know what he means when he says a lot of the things that start firestorms around here. Part of me thinks it's hilarious that he can ask one question and get the kinds of responses he gets. Another part of me wishes he'd find other ways of wording his posts. All of me wishes he'll get high speed internet!

Funniest part is this poster thinks he "knows us" and knows that we are assuming or whatever because he posted with everyone way back on FCF... welllllllllll that was a longggg time ago and most people really dont give a big flip who knew who back then so they need to get a life... they made a request which be it worded wrong or what was worded to sound a certain way and when people began to give them honest advice to NOT get their advice here they became defensive and well... some people seriously need to get a life!
OM has been a member at every version of AFF to date, so when he says he knows us, he does.
Funniest thing is Rico ran his trap so much trying to get him to shut up that it looked like the tilt a whirl running in overdrive!
LOL! Sister, it took him over an hour to get caught up on all the posts. I was half tempted to call him at his house. If you call while someone is online, it bumps them offline. I was like, "Come on! LCS already figured out where she took things wrong. Hurry up and get to that post!" Then he got there and still kept on posting.

That's pretty good, WH. I have one child I am certain will go to college. My son will most likely go to a vocational type of school after graduation. My oldest daughter says she wants to be a teacher. My two youngest girls haven't shown any leanings one way or the other, but one of them is a very talented artist. She's only 9 and is very good at drawing. She is working on developing a few characters so she can someday put them all together in a story.
Rednecks and dial up.... whatta combination! ROFL!!!!!
Yeeeeeeehaaaaaaa! It isn't his fault. Dial-up is the only option where they live. The phone company keeps telling them that DSL should be available in their area soon, but you know how that is. Their idea of soon could be years from now.
