Anyhow, I'm talking about the ones who go totally
charismatic.
But I think that's kinda the point. Is wearing a wrist watch (which I have heard preached against at youth camp in Cali) heading towards being charismatic? Is short sleeves? What makes one "Charismatic" and which "standards" do they have to leave behind to get there? Can people in the Midwest be more Charismatic and still be saved than those on the West Coast?

I completely agree with sentiment. I think that is part of a pastor's job, for sure! And there are things that a pastor will get up and warn against that might not have to do with any other church!

I firmly believe in submitting to your pastor's authority.

can somebody throw a few palm leaves in front of this poster...(or at least in front of the post!)

If you start off following a local ruler rather than our wonderful counselor, any occassion that ushers in dissallusion will leave a person gasping for air.

The building-based delivery system needs to be scrapped for a more perfect tabernacle, one that is a body. Mature saints will never add another surrogate mediator between their life and God, they will have ONE mediator, the man Christ Jesus.

Does this mean no pastors?

I get what you are saying it just seems to me that the idea from many is that anyone who allows more than me is a sinner. So if I say sleeves to the elbow and you say sleeves to the wrist, that makes me a sinner who is throwing it all away.

Has anyone noticed the irreversible trend in the AG? They are discussing if tongues is the evidence of receving the HGB the complete reason for their existance?

I thought about that after I made that post. I know you don't fall into the control freak category and should have made that clear. However, I am sure you know what I am talking about when I talk about control freaks. It's one thing to say, "I believe things should be this way." It's another entirely to say, "Do things this way or you are going straight to Hell." It's the latter I was referring to as being into controlling people.
