Days and months are not baptized into Christiandom. They are part of the secular world. Now xmas has been adopted and baptized into Christiandom.
We are not talking food or forks, and electric toasters, no one says that they are used to celebrate Christ. Woden's day is not said to celebrate Christ.
Yet, Dec 25th the day of Mithra has been converted to celebrate Christ.

This is not about forcing anyone to do anything, it's about just admitting it's not of Christian origin.

We are saying that xmas was a made up holiday that had nothing to do with Christ, until the Catholics came along and stole it from the Cebels, Druids, Celts, and Germani.

How can you keep it ABOUT Jesus, when it NEVER had anything to do with Jesus?
That's like having a golden calf and saying that you only want to put it up once a year to celebrate Jesus' birth. Yet you say you don't worship the calf.
See any difference? Pine tree with jewelry on it, and golden calf in the middle of the living room.

What about an eight armed Shiva, in the living room, draped with tinsel, and lights that blink? What's wrong with putting that up and saying it's only a decoration? Only a decoration? A tree dripping sap, and dropping pine needles only a decoration? Where's the connection between Christ and the tree?

I'm confused. Do you think it's wrong to put any decorations in your house? Or only those items which may or may not have been used in pagan rituals or worship in times past or present?
What about sprinklings of colorful leaves on the Thanksgiving table?
Red glitter on the table on Valentine's day? Red hearts? Valentine's cards with cupid on the front?
Do you celebrate birthdays?
