Well that would be so unfair, says the clay.

If there is annihilation, and I'm not convinced there is, it's not as though you only feel something temporarily. You don't exist later to feel or not feel anything. I dint think this distinction is discussed much. So, it's quite different than saying you only feel something so long, since that sounds as though you get relief when non-existence is not any sort of relief, really.

Hello, Bro. Tulsa!

Would separation from God for ever more not be a punishment in your eyes?

The discussion is about annihilation of the wicked, their being obliterated into absolute nothingness. Quite moot at that point, don't you think.

Not at all, but it would be exponentially far less punishment, if indeed the torment would eventually cease, as if the annihilation tale really could trump Rev 14:11.

Not at all actually, but thank you for the response.

Have a good evening.

How many FOREVERS passed from the time of creation till the time of the Church?

Colossians 1:26

26Even the mystery which hath been hid from ages (forevers) and from generations, but now is made manifest to his saints:

There were at least two forevers before Paul wrote this. We dont really know how many but definitely multiple forevers.

The devil will be tormented for ever and ever amen?

And yet we know he ends up being NO MORE.

Ezekiel 28:

13Thou hast been in Eden the garden of God; every precious stone was thy covering, the sardius, topaz, and the diamond, the beryl, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the emerald, and the carbuncle, and gold: the workmanship of thy tabrets and of thy pipes was prepared in thee in the day that thou wast created.

14Thou art the anointed cherub that covereth; and I have set thee so: thou wast upon the holy mountain of God; thou hast walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire.

15Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee.

16By the multitude of thy merchandise they have filled the midst of thee with violence, and thou hast sinned: therefore I will cast thee as profane out of the mountain of God: and I will destroy thee, O covering cherub, from the midst of the stones of fire.

17Thine heart was lifted up because of thy beauty, thou hast corrupted thy wisdom by reason of thy brightness: I will cast thee to the ground, I will lay thee before kings, that they may behold thee.

18Thou hast defiled thy sanctuaries by the multitude of thine iniquities, by the iniquity of thy traffick; therefore will I bring forth a fire from the midst of thee, it shall devour thee, and I will bring thee to ashes upon the earth in the sight of all them that behold thee.

19All they that know thee among the people shall be astonished at thee: thou shalt be a terror, and never shalt thou be any more.

Also.....why did Jonah say he was in Hell forever? Jonah 2:6

How long was he there according to Jesus? Matt 12:40

Re: Does Everyone Live Forever?

Well, you can go around that mountain as many times as you like, but you won't change the definition of the lake of fire as the very final death meted to the lost. You also won't change that it is an ever-non-ceasing torture for the eons of eons. And Revelation is quite explicit about trying to change that. The devil will be tormented without end, the demons without end, the lost humanity without end, period. No exceptions. No getting around a definitive final death being an unceasing lake of fire.
