Sir ... no one is being untrue ....I think Bishop 1 is referring to jewelry being common in PCI circles ....Can you deny this being true???


I definitely believe that many PAJC churches in East Texas were preaching against it in the early 1920's

... but any historian can tell you that in the early part of the UPCI there seemed to be a tolerance towards contending in large venues like General Conference ...

I definitely believe that a minister like Ballestero would have taken this issue to conference.

....somewhere along the line GC became a bully pulpit for some who wanted to sanitize and/or streamline the org.

WH..I don't care who preached it when or where or didn't preach it.

I do have a clear record that no apostle ever preached total abstinence from jewlry. It's called the bible.

WH something I have wondered about looking at merger pictures and of the first GB board,perhaps someone can post that picture,tie clasps are worn by several of the brethren ,aren't tie clasps jewelery?

Yes the events were proably before the finished work controversy and the formation of the AG.

Or perhaps they were searching for "unity of the faith" as they set out to do?
