Some women think they are better being the leader than their husbands and feel that is ok to be that way, even holy ghost filled women-and dont have a CLUE that they are out of order. They do not realize they are undermining their husbands-even IF he says-"STOP"-

I observed this just last year .... the pastor would start a meeting w/ his leadership team and before you knew it his wife had the floor for the entire meeting. This has had serious effects on the church ....

OMG! No you didn't! LOL!

Well, he should have taken back the control of the meeting. My allowing her to take over he was sending a message. I'm pretty sure she knew what she was doing too.

CS,
did Jez make Ahab, or was Ahab's vacancies what attracted him to his wife?
my vote is ....the latter.
HE TOOK his wife from the family of the King of Zidonians. Pretty sure a guy would know he is playing in the 'big-leagues' when you pick from the household of a King from another people.
IMO, these 'Jez' types look for folks in misplaced roles with access or influence. I think she was the increase of what Ahab sowed.
..........
as for causality enabled by 'boyfriend' music....
I just can not give it that much potency and besides, I find a potential for a "thought-crash" in the middle of the intersection where we read that the Church is being prepared AS A BRIDE for her husband.
And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.

All I can say is that ... there are some pastors who have abdicated even their pastoral authority to their wives ... I know scripture says that a husband and wife are one ... but give me a break.
Consequently, more and more, I'm hearing pastors calling their wives "pastors" also ....
i.e. Pastor John and Pastor Jill Smith.
This bothers me especially if the woman is not called .... or was not voted upon by a congregation ... or church board
I'm not saying a woman can't pastor, or team pastor w/ her husband ...
but to proclaim her pastor defacto as if by "right" and.... then telling a church we're now both in charge .... is terrifying and irresponsible.
It's worse if the wife pastor then seemingly becomes the one calling the shots.

This is not a sensual discussion, but one of real men being real men. The Promise Keepers Movement was partially correct, that the church is in dire need of real men today. Sadly, Daniel you seem to only want to take this to the gutter.

That was uncalled for. I am the one who did the posting concerning Jewish teaching on the Song of Solomon, and the posting was NOT done in vacuum.
Read the thread RR, CS among others had denigrated these passages. They also mocked DA and said no one sings or prays it.
My post quoted serious rabbinical authority that to the contrary, religious Jews pray it (and some sing it) every Friday night as worship.
DA merely pointed out that my response to THEIR childish antics was ignored.

I in no way denigrated the Song of Solomon.
It is the song of sissies I object to.
