Re: Hair
I just saw sweet Cindy all through this three year old thread. Made me sad--I miss her.
I have the kind of hair that wouldn't grow very long. Having to wear it up destroyed it and made it unhealthy.

"We did not wear uniforms. The lady workers dressed in the current fashions of the day, ...silks...satins...jewels or whatever they happened to possess. They were very smartly turned out, so that they made an impressive appearance on the streets where a large part of our work was conducted in the early years.
"It was not until long after, when former Holiness preachers had become part of us, that strict plainness of dress began to be taught.
"Although Entire Sanctification was preached at the beginning of the Movement, it was from a Wesleyan viewpoint, and had in it very little of the later Holiness Movement characteristics. Nothing was ever said about apparel, for everyone was so taken up with the Lord that mode of dress seemingly never occurred to any of us."

Nope but some big black guys in High School tried to make me give them money by intimidating me since I was a skinny nerdy kid with glasses and a briefcase but i was too stupid to be scared. Demanding money just made me mad and I told them if they wanted money to go work for it like I did (I bagged groceries after school at a store). LOL!!!!
Of course in today's culture they would have just killed me for standing up to them probably.

I do miss our dear Cindy too! AFF just hasn't been the same without her. Whenever I think of Cindy, I also think of her favorite saying... I want to say it too, quite often, on here! Maybe I'll just insert her sweet face more often.
