This being Thanksgiving Day in Canada I want to express my thankfulness that the Boston Red Sox swept the LAA and will go on to play for the ALDS title! It has made my day to read this headline. Now if the NYY lose tonight I will be REALLY thankful!

Well, I'm not Canadian. BUT, today I had turkey and all the trimmings because since my boys were small I've always "celebrated" Thanksgiving Day in Canada. It was a good learning experience for them and I just LOVE the smell of Thanksgiving. It's comfort food.

Happy Thanksgiving and God Bless all our Canadian Friends.

Beth

I fixed the "comfort food" a few weeks ago and had guests in...it was great fun and great food.

From Timlan's signature line.

"All the bad things that I talked about that happened in my life in 1993 were a blow to my spirit and my existence and my ministry. But I have to say I felt God's direction and I would not change it for anything. It was right and it is still right. And the resolution I would not sign is still dividing and destroying. Thank God I am not part of it ... I have peace in my heart. I have peace in my spirit." C. H. Yadon

Has anybody else noticed that this is the only thread competing in the longest thread contest?

If the talk on this forum is to be taken seriously the recent resolution allowing television in the UPCI has caused a lot of controversy and possibly a new organization south of the border. Will the same thing happen in Canada? I'm a bit disconnected but I can't think of any Canadian churches (Eastern) that will be effected by allowing television.

Pentecost in Eastern Canada has always been a little more tolerant of differring views than elsewhere so I see no change myself at all in our little neck of the woods!
