Yup!!! That's the one. For some reason I have it....I was just a youngin' so I didn't actually go until 1975. I have all of the old ones....fun to look at. There is a bunch of the neighborhood clan on Facebook so it has been fun catching up with them. :-D

Expecting great things today!! Prayer services on Saturday night have doubled in attendance over the last 3 weeks....but more than that it is the results that you can feel in the services. Got too busy this week to give an update from last weekend....we had 2 more receive the Holy Ghost!! And a church that has been joining us via internet feed had a lady come using a walker and go home healed!!
God is good all the time!!

Now Milady,
Why don't you share your thoughts.
It would be a welcome change from the drivel ALVIN has been drooling all over this thread.

I am a lady of few words (maybe I'm a bit short in the thought department!)

Interesting.
You're younger than I thought, or a really good story teller.
You were only one year ahead of the result of my parent's mid life crisis.
It's funny, but I don't remember being in the same class as the scholar two spaces to the left in that rogue's gallery. Those were the days of split classes, and that was a grade five/six class if I'm not mistaken.

Nope.
Don't believe you at all.
I have looked into the cyber stars and your name was written there.
Here's proof that I know, and the way that I found out.

In moderate churches pants were still a no-go on women,no make-up acceptable and only jewlery were the wedding rings, graduation rings, broaches
In moderate churches tv was a no-go ,but churches had their hockey teams, baseball teams, fairs and exhibitions were a no go also along with bowling ,pool
In ultra con churches women did not cut their hair .no pants on women .no jewelry. no sports whatsoever church sports teams were frowned upon and preached against.no make-up. no fairs or exhibitions or amusement parks.
That was the 70's.

That is an interesting categorization of churches.
Using this criteria, I don't think that there is an ultra con church in NB, and only a few moderate churches, but there is a whole gaggle of liberal churches, in this new millennium.

the Ultra Cons of this decade are like the moderates of the 70's.
the moderates of this decade more like the liberals of the 70's
the liberals of today are more like the charismatics of the 70's

Was the current Thad controversy a plot hatched deep in Maple Leaf territory to keep this thread in the top 5?!?

Oui et non.
Forums seem to attract some people who have recurring bouts of mania punctuated by self induced implosions.
They post in their mania. They don't post when they get offended, affected by the cycles of the moon, or over their head in controversies. We, like the proverbial tortoise, keep plodding onward, and when the final tally is done, we'll be there.
