That is just a start, and off the top of my head. If you seriously have doubts, I would recommend taking the time to study it.

All the best.

Re: Offended

I really don't know about the nude modeling stuff. I am sure we are all more or less sensitive to this according to our culture and church teaching etc.

I do know I felt somewhat uncomfortable in rooms full of well-endowed marble statues in the Hermitage and the Louvre... I was ready to move on! How sofisticated people can stand there for an hour studying chisel patterns on private parts is beyond me.

Well, it's something I will be weighing. In the meantime, I will keep a natural distance from this man simpy because my brain tells me to. I will say hi and by and all that, but previous to this I thought he would be interesting to get to know.

Go with your instincts. Anyway, some people say things just for the sake of shocking others and gauging their reactions. And some people share overly personal details because they are flirting, or at least testing the waters.

My point in the previous post was that this obviously bothered the poster... because it was something that was not right for them or the Holy Ghost. Which is why discussing it bothered them, because of the mental images that would have come to mind. This is the pureness of the Holy Ghost acting in someone's life.

It is my opinion, that the key to understanding the " previously nude poser" better is that to him it was not wrong. The reason he doesn't see it as wrong, is BECAUSE HE IS A SINNER. As for God, to Him it is all sin... public nudity, or lust in one's heart.... or gossip. Its all sin.... some are just more revealing than others.

We tolerate/love the person, but hate the sin.
I am not so sure I that it is sin. Maybe not something I want to see and maybe not appropriate in many cases but I am not sure it is sin. Peter went fishing naked. The others in the boat saw him naked so wouldn't that have been public?

I'm sure you only mean purposely naked or immodest, right? What if someone is naked through no fault of their own, or because they innocently are unaware of someone else's interest in their body?

What if it is cultural? Such as among some tribal people?

At what age does public nudity become sinful? Are children sinning if they dash out the door after after a bath?

Are we allowed to be naked in front of doctors and nurses? What if we are taken to the hospital and stripped of our clothes by someone else? Isn't that "public?"

Modesty is a courtesy to others, but a sin against God? It depends on the motive obviously.

I agree that modesty is important, and a reflection of a godly attitude overall, but public nudity can't be just written off as sinful, plain and simple.

Re: Offended

Just for clarification: I am NOT recommending nudist colonies. Nor do I believe we should be immodest. But the rules of modesty are relative, being dependent upon the company you are in and the circumstance.
