Ok. Now you're getting back to normal. It's ok. Really, it is. I don't know what has been going on around here the last few days, but things are getting out of whack all over the board, even for AFF. I've spent the last two days defending people who choose to trust God rather than go to doctors. You would not believe some of the things I've seen post on this subject. Anyway, things will get back to normal by tomorrow. I hope so, anyway.
You weren't ridiculed over what you asked, because you didn't ask us. What you (or you wife) were "ridiculed" over, by me, was the smart remark about thinking that pastors would know anything but Bible.
Then you obviously didn't read the whole thread.
Quote:
Maybe next time you start a thread you could say something to the effect of "I have a question that I want answered by a pastor but it's not spiritual" or something like that.
I can't do that because I am not going to fit into the mold that everyone thinks that I should. I think outside of the box and as my wife tells me, "you think like a computer".
Quote:
I'm really glad you have someone you respect and trust to go to for spiritual stuff. But don't assume, we, as pastors know nothing more than "spiritual" stuff, that was a jab at some that I respect and trust.
Don't assume that I said that, because it was my wife that said it, not me.
Oh, I don't know, Brother. There are some things I think are good for throwing out there, just to see the kind of advice you get.
Then people would assume that I am a troublemaker more than they do now.
Quote:
There are some people around here I wouldn't have a problem with asking some spiritual advice from, but I would do it privately.
That is why I asked the question privately. I didn't think that so many people would blow it out of poportion. It is typical on here though.
Quote:
What strikes me as funny is why anyone would freak out over you asking for spiritual advice, even if that were your intent.
It is so pathetic to me.
Quote:
You would think that if people were concerned over it causing you a problem then they'd make sure to offer you some good advice, rather than go into convulsions.
It's typical for here.
Quote:
Anyway, that's AFF for ya. Ya never know what's gonna happen next! I can't wait to see where you start trouble next!
I am not going to start trouble, but people assume that I do though Brother.

The question was asked (yet you denied feeling that way), why bother coming here if we are so bad? You keep speaking about how typical everyone here is, so why do you bother coming here?

Ok. Sister, I think I know what happened here. Oneness Woman wasn't saying what you took her to be saying. She was being sarcastic towards OP because she didn't like the response he gave her. She wasn't actually saying pastors don't know anything other than Bible. I think this is where you went off like a rocket, but you took her comment the wrong way. I hope this helps diffuse your upsettedness, Sister.
OM, let it go for tonight. Sister Coonskinner is having a bad night and this isn't helping. We can argue over who's the rightest or wrongest another day. I am asking you as a favor to let this go for now. OK?
I am not doing anything but reading and answering the posts. I can't help that people on here overact and can't get over it. They should seek Jesus, because He can help them.
