The prosecutor wanted the effect/emotion of the jury seeing the mother and father of TM without seeing GZ mother and father. It is a psychological strategy. The jury see's the mourning family and only the accused.

Yes, and the Judge was in on the strategy as well. She is only suppose to rule.

I think that based on testimony and evidence, it seems slightly clear... clear enough to not be something they will focus on for a long time. I'm sure these jury members have common sense. The Prosecution's presentation was all over the place, comical, and at times crazy! One word that comes to mind, concerning the State's Attorneys, is, "Buffoons."

They have to prove "intent" and I don't think they can do that.

I give the jury members much more credit concerning this "family members being present" issue. Surely they realize it's a ploy. It was even pointed out by, I think, O'Mara. These people are not stupid (I don't think). This is common practice in various trials, trying to present "family support" or "no family support." Frankly, the facts of the case have nothing to do with whether or not the Defendant or victim have family support. (That is, *IF* this jury follows the instructions that will be given to them; and I think (hope) they will. Most jurors take their job seriously and do their very best to follow the instructions in the packet they will take back to the jury room with them.)

It is SO unfair to have ANY witness hear the testimony of other witnesses. This is not a fair trial and this rule/law needs to be changed [for a minor's parents to be allowed to sit in the courtroom]. There's a reason for this particular rule (not allowing witnesses to hear testimony). It should apply across the board.

As a parent, however, I would WANT to be there the entire time... that does not make it right or fair.

You never know with juries.
