The Democrats thought they could throw a few accusations at BK and he would cut and run. His fighting back and throwing punches has caught them completely by surprise.
I'm glad to see BK fighting back.

Six FBI background investigations have found absolutely nothing. It should be noted that the FBI investigations for his positions would have included interviews and questions about alcohol. He cleared them all.
Yes, it's a circus. And its ringleaders are the radical left.

You know that I tend to lean left on various things, but I have to completely agree with you on this. There is no solid reason not to confirm the man.

Nicely understated.
We have learned a bit about discernment and integrity problems in our conservative Christian pseudo-constitutionalist circles.
Go drunken swamp,go!

She begins the questioning, basically, insinuating that he might be an alcoholic. She asks him about blackout and he wants her to define it. He doesn't point blank ask her to define it, but his question implies it. Because, they don't know what it means. He is also, not so subtly, pointing out that she is being a hypocrite, and it is probably because he knows them all. That was my take.

You participate in the conversation enough to make your point here a bit silly. You can't participate and mock it at the same time. It makes you a hypocrite. Just sayin'...

Re: Kavanaugh-- In Case You're Keeping Score
From a gentleman on americanconservative.com :

Please explain how Neil Gorsuch, and many others like him, managed to be appointed and confirmed without anything like this happening? Was George Soros and the “radical left” on vacation that month?
No, the answer is simple — it is because Kavanaugh has a history of being a drunken lout and some part of this, at a minimum, is likely true. This baggage was well known before he was appointed, which is why McConnell tried to steer Trump away from this choice.
Trump, however, needed a Justice who has the most extreme views on the untouchability of a sitting President. Thus he picked a bad apple.
Chickens coming home to roost and all that.

btw, I would have voted for Roy Moore.
From Benjamin Wittes of Lawfare:
Quote:
Kavanaugh’s calendar entry for the evening of July 1, 1982, contains an entry that reads, “Go to Timmy’s for skis with Judge, Tom, P.J., Bernie and Squi.” In the hearing, Kavanaugh acknowledged that “skis” in this entry referred to “brewskis,” or beer; that P.J. was Smythe; that Judge was Mark Judge; and that “Squi” was a boy who, Ford had earlier testified, just happened to have been someone she “went out with” for a short time. The calendar entry does not include Ford or Keyser, so the corroboration is far from perfect. It also includes people not mentioned by Ford. Then again, the degree of overlap with Ford’s story is striking. In the summer in which Ford alleges that Kavanaugh attacked her at an evening get-together with a small group of boys drinking beers, his calendar identifies an evening get-together with a small group of boys drinking beers, including three of the boys named by Ford, along with one she dated. Why exactly Kavanaugh imagines his calendar entries to be powerfully exculpatory I am really not sure.

My opposition to Kav is not based on The CBF accusations (e.g. see ‘drunken lout’ above) however this was an interesting probability/coincidence evidentiary point that was missed by the talking heads.
