Not so fast. If there is nothing in their manual about beards being sin and nothing in the Bible about it being sin, doesn't that prove that the great majority of their Churches are forcing men to stumble that might turn out to be mighty warriors for the Church?

Maybe even forcing them AWAY FROM Oneness Pentecostal truth? And will not such ministers be held accountable for this?

I know if you read what I told Mike he since he used a scripture way out of context so did i. He tried to compare the Apostolic church to the Jews Paul is talking about in Galatians so I used that scripture.

Although the one I put fits closer in line of authority and context then his does. But that's all I was doing. Sorry for the mix up.

God doesn't follow that manual anyway, so that wouldn't matter at all. While God doesn't say anything about beards. He does say "Obey them that have the rule over you, and submit yourselves: for they watch for your souls, as they that must give account, that they may do it with joy, and not with grief: for that is unprofitable for you.."

Nobody who is kept out of the church by facial hair is going to be a mighty man in the church. You can't stop somebody who has nothing but a strong desire for Jesus from getting to Him. That's not scriptural..

I personally, would not wear blue.

Let me explain.

Because if my elders would request that I no longer wear blue it would be done with reasonability. One, I trust them, two, I know they love me and have all my best interests in mind. Three, they have PROVEN themselves over the years not only to be my brothers but to be stand up friends through some worst possible moments. Asking me not to wear blue, isn't digging out my eye, cutting off a hand or a foot. It is something that being the bigger kid in the sandbox can handle. Because if I was on the job, and told I can no longer wear blue, we do it because the job and paycheck is on the line. That is not to be saluted. People make all sorts of sacrifices for job and paycheck. For a healthy church system with godly men, and sisters I can not wear blue for THEM.

True. If a beard is keeping someone from attending a church, the church isn't the problem.

That proves exactly why I pointed out, that since it isn't in the manual then it isn't a core belief. I'm real sorry, but I have seen my share of bearded guys on UPCI platforms. UPCI is a really mixed bag, and trying to nail it down as a denomination is not as easy as we might think. So your crusade to convince them of sin over to beard, or not to beard seems like the chip on your shoulder.

You know, the response like the one above makes me wonder how much drawing of God some people actually believe is involved. Sounds like micromanaging your religion to be able to be user friendly. Listen, to beard or not to beard is a popcorn kernel on at the bottom of the Grand Canyon, compared to all the other obstacles people can bump up against. When everyone left Jesus, He turned to His 12 and told them to go too John 6:66-67. Yet, this is about character of the individual, if they understand the revelation of the Apostolic message they don't go anywhere else. I knew what I found in the Apostolic Pentecostal Church. I didn't sweat the small stuff, and I have my own horror stories. But, I'm not looking for anyone to rock me to sleep while I suck my thumb in the fetal position. I am also not looking to give anyone a shoulder massage, while whispering it's ok go to sleep in their ears.
