Maybe for Ron it has more to do with being on a Trinitarian Network, then TV itself.

Its the largest TV NETWORK in the world, for RJ to be able to go on there and touch millions of lives, that shouldn't matter , the name of the network, shouldn't matter. JMO...........there is DAYSTAR, INSP network on and on.
Thank God the name of the network didn't stop him from going on, there are so many doctrinal views on that network it would make your head spin.
I traveled in the UPC for years there was so many differences in the doctrine when I would talk with pastors.
The mentality of preaching to 4 and no more is sad. Thank God for RJ, he is getting out of the box, reguardless of what man says.
I went thru alot of the same stuff 10 years ago, when you know that you know you are in Gods will, mans opinions did not phase me. Its HIM I will stand befor one day: )

Re: REX JOHNSON -TBN WED. MARCH 11th 9:00 PM Centr
speaking of the book...
Who authored the book? RJ alone? RJ with someone else? Does the book mention any "co-authors"?
just curious... for reasons completely unrelated to this thread.
I have heard a great deal about this book but have not read it. I was told it was RJ provided the story but was actually written by someone else.
Any truth to this?

Thats how most books are written.. I am writing a book right now about my orphange, when I get done with my chicken scratch style of writing it, someone else will come in and edit it to make it readable.
I read the book, it tells his story, it sounds like him.

I think it is great that you provided RJ the opportunity to be on TBN Sandra. And yes, you've been away from the UPC too long and you wouldn't understand their concerns about the medium used ....LOL...Of course, they have NO PROBLEM whatsoever watching and using the Internet...that's what leaves me dumbfounded...

the medium he chose???? to minister to millions verses hundreds! I don't get it...sorry ! He is getting calls from all over the world, how his testimony touched them, his book will get into the hands of more people than ever.

I am sure if his chosen medium had been a tent meeting in a vacant lot in a small town that would have met approval.
I don't care for TBN and don't watch it but I think any minister who gets an opportunity to ministrer on there and doesn't is wasting a great opportunity.

"We did not wear uniforms. The lady workers dressed in the current fashions of the day, ...silks...satins...jewels or whatever they happened to possess. They were very smartly turned out, so that they made an impressive appearance on the streets where a large part of our work was conducted in the early years.
"It was not until long after, when former Holiness preachers had become part of us, that strict plainness of dress began to be taught.
"Although Entire Sanctification was preached at the beginning of the Movement, it was from a Wesleyan viewpoint, and had in it very little of the later Holiness Movement characteristics. Nothing was ever said about apparel, for everyone was so taken up with the Lord that mode of dress seemingly never occurred to any of us."

JMHO Though.

Television isn't bad in and of itself. The medium isn't evil or good. It's what is broadcast on it that can be labeled evil or good.
Rex Johnson's testimony was good.
You may think TBN is an evil network since it is Trinitarian based and therefore you would not watch it if you had a TV to watch it (although I watched RJ online). But then to be consistent you would have to limit the reading that you do to Oneness Pentecostals ONLY. To be consistent, any book written by a Trinitarian or someone who is not an OP would be evil.
