Well, yesterday the braniacs said it would be 101, it topped off at 107.

Today they are saying 108, I don't even want to know what it will wind up at.

And the nearest fire is only an hour away, so the haze is just lovely.

the highs this week in Dallar are between 97 and 100. the lows between 76 and 78.

average humidity is 45% with wind at or below 5 mph.

Dallas tends to be on the dry side as far as humidity is concerned.

and while hot is always hot, wet and hot is miserable.

but wet and hot and very little wind is beyond miserable.

My mom is from Wichita Falls, and she always talks about how miserable the humidity in TX is, but I don't know. It seems to me that it can't be worse than blistering, searing heat. IMO.

I guess I would have to live there to ever make a real comparison. With the humidity, how do those temps that you listed actually play out? I know that I have heard that it feels hotter because of the humidity.

My daughter went to Houston last summer, and she said that the humidity didn't bother her that much.

Thanks! I would go three or four times a year if I had the money and the time. I have a real passion for Kenya.
