So let's differentiate between what he has actually voiced, and what you have surmised.
He has very probably voiced a desire for some office, but I seriously doubt if he has voiced his desire to "one-up" his family.
You lumped them both together in the same basket, and that is disingenuous and misleading in my opinion.
Perhaps not deliberately so, but misleading nonetheless.
But now we have it clarified.

Who cares if the school is endorsed by the org. They endorse things they shouldn't. NW can have a good school without the org. or their endorsement.

Please don't stop now. I'm having a very good time reading this post on a beautiful Fall Saturday Morning. There's an element of truth in all the posts and I'm enjoying the sifting of them to get the whole story! Of course to expedite things Thad could make a call to the District Super [ I think they're somewhat acquainted ] or LAD could call Sheila and get it first hand........ but in the meantime keep posting because it makes interesting reading. This Forum should be regulated by the Drug Administration because it's so ADDICTIVE!

This is a very common rhetorical device: Innuendo...the old "Well, I could really tell you some juicy dirt if I wanted, but instead I will just entice you to use your imagination..." gambit.
This whets the imagination of those so inclined and yet leaves the poster with plausible deniability.
