The Canadian dollar topped 97 cents (U.S.) Friday for the first time in 30 years, riding favourable sentiment in global currency markets that economists believe could put it on par with its American counterpart in a matter of months.

Well, maybe with an emphasis on the pride.

I Can't Feel God
(Here are some weighty thoughts for this Lord's Day)
One of the saddest confessions that a believer can make is, "I can't feel God!" There are several weighty reasons why this may be the case.
Too much weight on the conscience. King David groaned in a godless despair with the weight of Uriah's death on his conscience. Sin separates from God's presence and silences His voice. Repent.
Too much weight on the mind. Job, in his day of testing, could not perceive God because of the heaviness of his loss, pain, and confusion. A mind burdened with pain, anxiety, and fear, will shut out the presence of God; the clamoring voice of fear and the whirl of worry will mute the voice of God. Seek Christ in your crisis.
Too much weight on the hands. The apathetic saint laden down with complacency who comes to Church and sits on hands that should be raised in prayer and praise will not feel God. God lives in the prayers and praises of His people; silent saints miss His visit. Get off your hands and praise Him; lift holy hands in prayer.
Too much weight on the waistline. The physical affects the spiritual; being sick, sluggish, exhausted, or in pain, can blunt our ability to experience God's presence. Rest, recuperate, repair and renovate the temple that your spirit man lives in.
