Nope. In fact, he applied to join my forum and was turned down. As I said, he may have actually gotten "permission." It just wasn't MY permission.
I'm really not into "attacks." I like to have fun. That's it. That's what the songs were about. Nothing more.
I just don't like it when people speak of my "self-righteous spirit" just because I choose to have a little fun. I wonder if they said the same thing about the guy who sang "Tulsa Time." I seriously doubt it, but I may be wrong.
Bro.
Got to take issue with you on this one.
The first one I thought was funny.
The second one crossed the line. When you accuse a Superintendant of duping preachers you have stepped from satire to accusation.
It may have been cloaked with a veil of humor but the intent was plain.

Complaint duly noted. Regardless of your impression, however, the fact is there aren't too many words that rhyme with "supe." When I do a parody, I try to remain as true to the original as possible. The original said, "So I just did me some talkin' to the sun/And I said I didn't like the way he got things done/Sleepin' on the job/Those raindrops are fallin' on my head, they keep fallin." I took those words and changed them to say: "So I just did me some talkin' to the Sup’/And I said I didn't like the way he tried to dupe/The preachers at GC/Those credentials are fallin' on my desk, they keep fallin.'"
Perhaps some would consider that "over the line." I still just see it as an attempt at humor. I apologize for offending you.

Bro.
Regardless of the difficulties of rhyming there were other words and sentiments that could have been expressed. For instance it would have been just as easy to change "sup" to "boss" and open a world of possibilities.
I'm not offended, I just think it was way over the line.

So I just did me some talkin' to the boss,
And I said I didn't like the way he forgot to floss.

Am I the only one that picks up the "self-righteous" spirit behind the TV preacher song?

It is amazing how quickly people become "judgmental" when they don't like the message. However, attacking the messenger is not a new tactic.

Right but even Satire was meant as commentary
1.the use of irony, sarcasm, ridicule, or the like, in exposing, denouncing, or deriding vice, folly, etc.
2.a literary composition, in verse or prose, in which human folly and vice are held up to scorn, derision, or ridicule.
It's funny when I read people here saying they never see the UCs doing that but only see the libs doing it....

Apostolic is defined on AFF as:
There is One God. This one God reveals Himself distinctly as Father, Son and Holy Ghost.
The Son is God himself in a human form or "God manifested in the flesh" (1Tim 3:16)
Every sinner must repent of their sins.
That Jesus name baptism is the only biblical mode of water baptism.
That the Holy Ghost is for today and is received by faith with the initial evidence of speaking in tongues.
The saint will go on to strive to live a holy life, pleasing to God.

Sorry I missed Judged your intentions. I assumed a lot when it was on that other website. I "grouped" you with them because they claimed they had permission to post it there. I automatically assumed that you guys were all together.
The song was funny. I even laughed at it, but because of where I found it I assumed it was written with the same attitude that seems to be so stong in them.
I was wrong for passing judgement with out all the facts.
