The Late R. C. Cavaness wore a bowtie and was known for them it was not a standard. Also Dr. Henry Mobley wears a bowtie. I have never known anyone that taught bowties are to be worn?

Me either..but Thad assures it is the truth, that bowties was a standard in my former church. 20 years there, on Elder board, and I never heard this.

I doubt the Forward will put out the numbers of those leaving the organization. Not necessary.

I was thinking of this post...and I've heard this before, about the Forward...do they not print such information? or is this forum legend?

They put in the names of those they WANT their ministers to know about them leaving. My name was listed there when I left - but I know MANY that were not printed in the FORWARD as they did not want it known. I doubt you will see Johnny and Kenny Godairs name - in the FORWARD as disaffiliated.

Theresa, they do print the statistics, but not in every Forward like they use to. Maybe every other one.........I'm not sure. But they are eventually all printed.

They surely aren't. I remember back in the 90s when we had the other split, I read every Forward that came in the mail waiting to see some of our neighbor's names- never showed up - i wonder why ??
