How is AFF doing???

I like AFF.

I decided to cut down on the time I spend online and to do that I'm going to stop going to two other forums and opt for this to be my home, so to speak. Why? Because I like the variety of the opinions I find here. It lends to good discussions on doctrine and other things.

I can't really compare AFF to the other two forums. I was only on NFCF for about 3 months and spent most of the time in the Bible Discussion area. I waded into general discussions near the last month and 1/2 and got nipped by a few crabs and unwisely stuck my foot in my mouth a few times.

I would like to say I am glad Sandra has joined us here.

I agree with Thad, the critism of the previous ownership, whether NFCF or FCF should be put behind us. We can simply move onward.

Some have said they tried to get family or friends to join, and were told many reasons why others would NOT come. Do we offer something then to appeal to the bandwidth? Are we a haven like PP said he found? - Thank you PP! What is it that draws us here and keeps us here?

in some respects we are a haven. I have found this place and its two predisessors to be such, in much the same way PP has.

We need to remember that not everyone out there likes the internet or message boards in general the way the AFF family does! a lot of people look at you like your nuts when you say you are on any message board so I wouldnt get a complex when folk tell you they wont join.

I think there is a general personality thing that lends itself to being on these type of places. you either do or you dont.

then there is the notion that this is read by a lot of people. some just arent comfortable with that idea.
