What anyone remembers in 100 years is completely irrelevant. In 100 years, no one will remember if I steal a candy bar today. But since doing the right thing TODAY is important, I won't steal a candy bar.

If it is irrelevant, in 100 years, then my point has been made. If it is relevant today, then I suggest those who have issue with the subject make peace, with it, and allow time to either sweeten it, or ferment it.

I agree. Get over the WPF folks leaving. They are true-blue Water and Spirit believers. We all have our evidence to get bitter and judge the situation, but we weren't there and aren't privy to enough info on the matter to objectively render a judgement, nor should we. Moveon.org.

Now, back to the sermon link. That's far more interesting to discuss

I'm sorry to hear that your passed has passed on; but if he has, then he definitely wasn't the one I quoted. Though who knows? He may have been in the same room? Or heard from someone who was there.

My point is: Though this was obviously intended to be a lighthearted moment, even the most ardent "Three Steppers" will find room for "exceptions" in their doctrine. They won't always admit to it, but privately they probably have admitted to it several times over the years.
