Apparently the Feds were in the process of drawing up search warrants to go through his computer. Maybe Hasan became aware of this? Dunno.

But they were apparently under the impression the guy had posted the stuff mentioned in the article, just not certain, hence the need for a warrant.

I think the military may be somewhat willfully "blind" at times. Despite their occupations as "killers," they really do emphasize a lot "peace and harmony" rhetoric. They are also keenly aware of the P.C. dangers of "profiling." No commanding officer wants to be ordered into sensitivity training because of a mess about "profiling" that the media and some member of Congress were crying about.

It ain't an easy job. And to top it off none of the soldiers killed are allowed to have weapons in that part of the base. The only ones armed were the cops moonlighting as security.

It's a horrible tragedy. Hopefully one that lessons will be learned from.

But, don't get all anti-Islamic right now. Remember, just because the shooter had a Muslim name doesn't mean he should have been look upon with suspicion. The Commander in Chief has a Muslim name.

Re: Ft Hood TX shootings

Though Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison of Texas reported that Major Hasan was to be deployed this month, that could not be confirmed with the Army on Thursday night.

Nader Hasan said his cousin never mentioned in recent phone calls to Virginia that he was going to be deployed, and he said the family was shocked when it heard the news on television on Thursday afternoon.

“He was doing everything he could to avoid that,” Mr. Hasan said. “He wanted to do whatever he could within the rules to make sure he wouldn’t go over.”

Some years ago, that included retaining a lawyer and asking if he could get out of the Army before his contract was up, because of the harassment he had received as a Muslim. But Nader Hasan said the lawyer had told his cousin that even if he paid the Army back for his education, it would not allow him to leave before his commitment was up.

I am and have always been anti-Islamic. It goes against the Word of God and denies that Jesus is God, so yes, I would be against it.

And, yes, The Commander in Chief certainly does have a Muslim name and I find that to be very strange.

The reason that bothers me is that I believe we are fighting Sharia Law more than anything. Saudi Arabia is the largest supporter of Sharia Law and it's getting pushed all over this world. We call that thought being radical, but it is happening.

It reminds me so much of the Boxer Rebellion. The Chinese secret society, "Ihoch'uan", was connected to the White Lotus Sect. They set out to destroy everything they considered foreign. They slaughtered Chinese Christians, missionaries, and anyone they found who supported western ideas. They burned houses, schools and churches.

The Manchu government "secretly" approved of the movement.

When foreign diplomats in Peking sent out calls for troops, the Manchu government declared war against the foreign powers.

I see Saudi Arabia as the "Manchu government" and the "Taliban" as the "Secret Society".

When they gain enough footage and force, Saudi Arabia will back them up. We see them gaining footage in Europe where people are afraid of them and allowing Sharia Law to be implemented in the land.

This is a good article:

The massacre at Fort Hood and Muslim soldiers with attitude

“[He] made comments about how we shouldn’t be over there – you need to lock it up, Muslims should stand up and fight against the aggressor,” Lee added.

But the suspect’s cousin, Nader Hasan, gave Fox News a different picture. He said his cousin had never deployed but was affected by the war and had been concerned about his impending deployment.

“He would tell us how he would hear things, horrific things, things from war probably affecting him psychologically,” Nader Hasan said.

Here is my column from March 2003 on Muslim soldiers with attitude:

Sgt. Asan Akbar, a Muslim American soldier with the 326th Engineer Battalion, had an “attitude problem.” (view link for continued reading)

Ali A. Mohamed.
Mohamed, a major in the Egyptian army, immigrated to the U.S. in 1986 and joined the U.S. Army while a resident alien. This despite being on a State Department terrorist watch list before securing his visa. An avowed Islamist, he taught classes on Muslim culture to U.S. Special Forces at Fort Bragg, N.C., and obtained classified military documents. He was granted U.S. citizenship over the objections of the CIA. (view link for continued reading)

Semi Osman. An ethnic Lebanese born in Sierra Leone and a Seattle-based Muslim cleric, Osman served in a naval reserve fueling unit based in Tacoma, Wash. (view link for continued reading)

John Muhammad.
The accused Beltway sniper and Muslim convert was a member of the Army’s 84th Engineering Company. (view link for continued reading)

Jeffrey Leon Battle. A former Army reservist, Battle was indicted in October 2002 for conspiring to levy war against the United States and “enlisting in the Reserves to receive military training to use against America.” (view link for continued reading)

I'm just so sad. I don't think I will sleep well tonight.

Re: Ft Hood TX shootings

I heard about these shootings on the radio and then later turned to watch Fox news. As soon as I heard there was a shooting on the army base I got an ill feeling. In the back of my mind I thought, "Please let me be wrong about this...but my gut tells me this is going to be a Muslim shooting people".

For over an hour I watched and they never gave a name so I thought maybe I was lucky and I was going to be wrong. Then they gave the name of the shooter.

How many times do these "peaceful" muslims get to kill people before we realize the whole religion is a plague that should be eradicated? They aren't peaceful. They aren't godly. They are murderers for allah. 99% of all major terrorist attacks against our nation for 30 years now have been *ding ding ding*...Muslims!

FORT HOOD, Texas – The base commander at Fort Hood says soldiers who witnessed a shooting rampage that left 13 people dead reported that the gunman shouted "Allahu Akbar!" before opening fire at the Texas post.

Lt. Gen. Robert Cone told NBC's "Today" show on Friday that suspected shooter, Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan, made the comment, which is Arabic for "God is great!" before the rampage Thursday that also left 30 people wounded.

Military officials say they are still piecing together what may have pushed Hasan, an Army psychiatrist trained to help soldiers in distress, to turn on his comrades.

I love it when they make such ridiculous statements!!!!!!!! What pushed him? Please! Are you kidding me? LOL!

Re: Ft Hood TX shootings

I am just grateful, that all of my friends at Hood are alright. I have heard from all but one of them, and that family just moved there. My neighbor is getting in touch with them to make sure they are ok as well.

It all boils down to a man choosing to murder, and families are left suffering terrible loss.

This occurred at the soldier support center, where soldiers do their medical screenings before or after a deployment. Imagine those families whose soldier came back from a year-long deployment, safe, the relief these families had, only for them to be killed at work!?

My heart breaks for them.
