I'd turn them in and volunteer to drive them to the border to kick them out. I would have no problem reporting them even if they were a member of my church.

The wishy washy "they just want a better life" overtones are making me a little sick. They came here AGAINST THE LAW. They invaded our soil. They milk our system for millions of dollars every year. They pay no taxes but sales taxes since they are not in m ost cases legally employed. They pop out as many babies as they can to get more welfare. They refuse in most cases to assimilate and learn the language. They are parasites and they should be deported.

Yes. I was in the Army. My first MOS was 19K (M1 Tank Crewman). The Lord began to convict me about it after rededicating my life to the Lord. After reading Bro. David K. Bernard's book on practical holiness where he addresses the ethical problems a Christian faces by being in combat arms I knew I had to take a stand. Christians refused to fight in Rome's army or serve in any military until Rome essentially seized the Church. Many Roman soldiers who were Christians were executed because they refused to draw blood in the name of an earthly nation. I prayed for God to tell me if he desired me to leave the military. He spoke clearly, I was to stay. Shortly after our medical section (I was serving in a Calvary unit) had four openings. God spoke to me clearly, "Request to transfer to that section of your unit." So I put in my 4187 for transfer. When my transfer was granted I was sent to Ft. Sam Houston, San Anotonio TX for Combat Medical School. My second MOS was 91B10 (Combat Medical Specialist). I served in that section for the remainder of my contract. They offered to send me to PLDC, but I'd have to extend my contract. The Lord spoke to me again, "There is a great deception is falling upon the nation. Get out." So I declined. On September 11, 2001 terrorists attacked the United States. I was my unit would be frozen and we'd be deployed but they didn't mobilize my unit. My date of separation was January 6, 2002. January 6th came and I was released. Nearly 2 months later my unit was mobilized and put on rotation in Iraq.

I served proudly as a Combat Medical Specialist. My duty was to tend to the welfare of my men, tend to casualties, and save lives... even the enemy's if need be.

So yes, I served.

Would I serve or admonish my son to serve? I'm conflicted. While I love my country she is an earthly nation. Her leaders have political agendas and misinformation is rampant. The American people are nearly always kept in the dark and soldiers are paid to only follow orders. Being a Christian I'm responsible for the position I allow myself to be in. Should I allow myself to be at the service and mercy of a system that could fabricate a reason for military action and if I were to be deployed and take lives, as a Christian I would stand in serious jeapardy before God for allowing myself to be in that position. The spirit of Antichrist is strong. Governments are corrupt and increasingly serving Satan's purpose. So I'd have to say no, I wouldn't serve again. I put being a Christian first and foremost in my life. While I love my country and her people... I cannot become a pawn used to kill for the world's system.

That was under the Old Covenant. God was dealing with a nation, not a Church. The Church is called to a higher standard of holiness. In addition Israel was governed by Judges and guided by prophets who heard from God. When Israel wanted a King (a political system) soon God's hand of protection left the nation and they were left to fight very bloody wars... many of which were judgments upon them. War itself is a judgment. When a nation pleases God, God protects them. You'll see throughout the early portions of the Old Testament it was God who miraculously destroyed Israel's enemies. It wasn't until their backsliding that they actually found themselves back to back swinging swords.

Keep in mind, King David was not permitted by God to build the Temple because he was a man of war and had shed much blood. While we in Western culture glorify war... God hates war.

Christians never shed blood throughout the New Testament. In fact history testifies that Christians serving in the Roman armies accepted execution for treason before shedding blood for Rome, an earthly nation. While Christians are admonished to obey the laws of our respective earthly nations... we are not of them. We are to be separate. That is "holiness". Holiness is more than a dress code. We are not to become their pawns to use to kill in geopolitical games of global conquest or hegemony. Satan is the god of this world. Governments are under intense deception. Why in God's name would a "Christian" kill for this depraved world system? Tell me, most feel Obama is a tool of Satan... why would you want to become a soldier to kill at his bidding? When the Antichrist takes control, do you want to be serving in the military? Will you follow orders and round up precious saints of God for prison camps? No? You'd resist? Why put yourself in that position? Aren't you more valuable spreading the word of God, serving your church, and guiding your family?

So we should happily enjoy the good of this country and it's freedoms...but not be willing to do anythign to maintain it? Suckle the pig, but refuse to fight to defend it if necessary?

It was "GOD" who commanded that Israel do this. God is God and God has the right to order the destruction of a people. However, Obama isn't God. If God guided American through prophets and we were ruled by a just and righteous king, I might see no issue with going to war at the command of God. But NO nation today is ancient Israel. It would be a human ruler bent on political power fueld by greed ordering you to war.

Also, if it's ethically right for a Christian to serve in the United States military... is it ethically right for a Russian Christian to serve in the Russian military? If so... what happens if a conflict arises between the United States and Russia? Is it ethically right for one Christian to try to kill the other on the battlfield for their respective earthly nations?

We are the Kingdom of God, not the Kingdom of Conservatism. We don't operate on a politcal level, we are a spiritual kingdom. After America falls and is found in the pages of history books... there will still be the Church.
