So in other words, someone comes onto this thread with one of the things I listed (and am really curious about the rabies one) and asks "what should I do?".

I guess the answer is "do your own research!"?

All I ask is, what herb or root do you chew/drink/smoke after being bitten by a rabid dog or bat?

I know that they have to study them etc. and some cost is about that. And the companies don't study the things that can't be patented because they can't make money on it. I have had quite a bit of success with home remedies/natural supplements. The thing about supplements is to be honest with your doctor about what you are taking. My husband has high cholesterol. A doctor wanted to put him on statin drugs. I put him on niacin. When he started flushing, I was able to tell him what was happening because I did the research. I told him it was a harmless niacin flush. We switched brands and he got a big uncomfortable flush and stopped taking it but had also switched doctors. His doctor checked his cholesterol and then told him to take niacin!. His doctor is having him take a much higher does than I would ever dream of giving him. The point is, that there is something to be said for natural remedies that don't prop up the pharmeceutical companies.

My dad lowered his cholesterol with a combination of Co-Qu-10 and Red Yeast Rice (I believe that's correct)...it worked for him...

I believe in herbal supplements and vitamins...I also believe in modern medicine.

Sometimes one is lucky and they get a doctor that believes in homeopathic and modern medicine practices!!! I did

Not sure...that's a good question tho...

That's just a question to be asked on ask.com.

That was not the point and you know it. I have brought up multiple things to you and you have refused to watch or listen to what has been given. So in part to you. Yes!

There are several treatments for any type of infection especially since Rabies is a viral infection but it won't matter as you don't care to listen to anything I have already given. Also most who have gone to long without any type of treatment usually die no matter the treatment as it already spread across the system and the patient is to compromised etc...

Also nobody said everything is bad or cannot be used to some extent. The options have to be weighed considering the circumstances. The vast majority of stuff though is not needed and uncalled for considering the circumstances. You know healthy children getting vaccines and Hep B vaccines at birth etc...

I simply believe much more TRUE testing and TRUE research should be done before we even think about public offering. Most of the testing that is done is pure political posturing on a scientific level. It's pathetic. I am for what works! I see little of what modern science has done in this area be a true benefit vs that hazards it has caused. Money is more important than true caution and in many cases good research. It's a mixed bag at best. That is why I believe in personal experimenting and research. Learning for oneself good and bad and both sides have both.
Modern medicine has learned a lot at the same time whatwe are learning is condemning what we are doing in many cases. Much of what we know works now has been around along time.
