I agree. The personal lives of candidates should always be left alone. The politics of personal destruction are ridiculous and should be done away with.

When I hire someone to mow my lawn, work on my vehicle, or build a house, should I ask them if they've committed adultery against their spouse or should I only be concerned with their qualifications? Why should that preclude a man or woman from being elected to office in this country?

A person who commits a felony is a felon, whether he's convicted or not.

If you feel you can prove otherwise, please do so. We'd love to hear it.
But maybe you should just let it go...and salvage whatever remains of your intellectual credibility. KnowwhatImean?
Intellectual credibility??

From a guy who just suggested that I prove a man innocent in an instance where he was never convicted of guilt. Wow. I'm fairly certain that runs in direct opposition to the concept of "innocent until proven guilty" in a court of law.

I wasn't claiming that a former President was a felon, when in fact he isn't.

Are we not to question the character of a person bringing that into any leadership position? Wouldn't that bear on how their judgment and actions affect us in some way? Trust would be one area. Right?
