I do not wear a watch. I usually just look at the time on my phone. Sometimes I carry a pocket watch which is concealed in a pocket.

Yes I have.
I have a very good friend who came in under Bro. Bean and then began preaching out of his church.
Also my grandmother was in some of his revivals.
A great man of God.,

Because that wouldn't be the truth, and I'm not a liar.
I stated what I meant the first time I said it. My daddy used to say you shouldn't paint yourself into a corner...when you come into a topic with an extreme stance, there's no room for discussion.

When a topic is settled there is no room for discussion. I settled this topic over 30 years ago.
Now I AM CONTENTEDING FOR THE FAITH.

Well...it isn't settled with everyone, or there would be no need for this thread.

Over wedding rings? I don't think wedding rings have anything to do with The Faith, whether you wear them or not. I think they have to do with romance.
Bro. Epley,
What do you think about this scripture, in which a bride "adorneth herself with jewels" is used as a comparison for God clothing us with garments of salvation and covering us with robes of righteousness?
If jewels were such a negative thing, why would God cast them in a positive light with such a reference?
Isa 61:10 I will greatly rejoice in the LORD, my soul shall be joyful in my God; for he hath clothed me with the garments of salvation, he hath covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decketh himself with ornaments, and as a bride adorneth herself with her jewels.

Genesis 41:42 And Pharaoh took off his ring from his hand, and put it upon Joseph's hand, and arrayed him in vestures of fine linen, and put a gold chain about his neck;
Why didn't Joseph object to this treatment, the same way Daniel, and his three friends objected to Babylonian foods?

I still don't wear a watch because I find them annoying.

My position is there were things allowed in the OT that is not allowed today.
For example God made provision for the "hated wife and child" of polygamy.
He was not endorsing it but permitting it so is it with jewelry he permitted it. He commanded men to kill, told Hosea to married a harlot. He permitted those things or suffered them but NOT in the NT.
No eye for eye and tooth for tooth though it was permitted in the OT!

What is your pocket watch made of? Gold? Silver? Plastic?

Well I've got to go. MY son graduates today and we have a lot to do.
The Principal told my wife the other day that our son is first in his class, but because he only attended there one year he could be the Valedictorian, that a crock.
