You are welcome to submit yourself and your family to one of these guys but not me. I will love them, fellowship them, call them brother, and expect to see them in heaven. However they have disqualfied themselves from being my or my families spiritual leader. I want someone I can have confidence in.
Keep in mind these are guys who were behind pulpits preaching while living in sin. Not one time slip ups but repeated, long term sin. In the back of my mind I would always have a tiny bit of wondering if they were doing it again.
The only exception I might make would be for someone who came forward voluntarily and confessed their sin, repented, and went through an extended process of restoration. While I am sure that sometime somewhere that has happened every single one of the instances I am aware of in my lifetime of over 50 years has been cases where the men were not repentant until they were caught and it was the only way for them to continue in ministry.

Nothing was ever said about apparel, for everyone was so taken up with the Lord that mode of dress seemingly never occurred to any of us."

I'm not submitted to or led by one of "those guys".

That's exactly what I would do and have done.

I don't know details firsthand, and I certainly don't take hearsay at face value.
My pastor is a wonderful leader. No living in sin while in the pulpit.

Re: Anyone Know Where Will Cohron is today?
I just read thru the first few pages of comments on the Cohrons. I grew up in their church. I found out about everything right before it exploded sorry to say. It crippled my heart & my faith. I was 15 then & I am 49 now. I have carried this with me all these years. I have thought about reaching out to Bro Cohron to get some closure but doubt he would talk to me. Again I was a mere 15 at the time and I looked at Bro Cohron as if he was God. Looking at it now I know that was wrong but I was so young and had grew up in his church. To this day I still deal with this. I know that everyone needs forgiveness and I am the very last person that should ever cast a stone but that situation has affected me all these long years.
I did not know that they had divorced though. I'm sad to hear that.

Re: Anyone Know Where Will Cohron is today?
If memory serves me correctly as little as our church was they did get him a Cadillac. And yes it was the 70's. and yes bringing visitors was a big deal of course. I still have the huge bible that I won for bringing the most visitors to his church.

Moral failures in the ministry do affect others and sometimes leave lasting scars sadly.

Re: Anyone Know Where Will Cohron is today?
Rev. Will Cohron has been in the Atlanta area for the last couple of years, holding a series of meetings. He will be heading to Ohio after the first of the year to help preach/teach in a new Apostolic work.
He and the sainted Shirley Cohron are in fact still married. Sis. Cohron travels between Fl & Ok, spending time with her grandchildren.
In spite of his faults, Bro. Cohron is still an anointed preacher! His son, Anthony, pastors The Spirit & Truth Church, UPCI in Jacksonville Fl
