Re: Santorum 2012

The link below is the reason people have to understand that the moderate/swing vote has to be won for the GOP candidate to beat Obama.

Santorum ran for the PA Senate in '06 on conservative cultural issues and lost by 18 points -- “the largest defeat by a Republican United States senator seeking election or re-election in modern Pennsylvania history.”

Santorum will not win PA, or any of the other so-called swing states because he's too culturally conservative. Sorry, like it or not, he won't. His comment about sex in marriage was one of the dumbest comments I've ever read. It's Palin-like. It rivals, "I can see Russia...."

All I want in a President is to be fiscally responsible, ensure our personal and religious freedoms and stay out of my private life. I care not what his dumb view on sex is. He should keep it to himself and his wife.

Go jump on the Santorum bandwagon if you'd like. But when the wheels fall off in the general election, and we're faced with another 4 years of Obama because independent, moderate and swing voters couldn't stomach his preaching morality on everyone....don't come crying on AFF.

Romney is not the best choice, but he's the only GOP candidate that will be able to win any i/m/s voters.

Why in the world would he say something like that? That is a stupid comment.

I feel sorry for his wife....

Saying he doesn't have a problem with homosexuals, he just has a problem with "homosexual acts".

“not okay” because it gives people “a license to do things in a sexual realm that is counter to how things are supposed to be.”

I'm afraid your right. Even though I still like Rick, I not agreeing with some of his statements lately. The questions are set of for failure. There is not a really good answer of "balance" to appease both sides coming from a conservative, who by his answers seems more bazaar- conservative than me. His answer on contraceptives...really? *facepalm* Twisp & Ms Brattfield, I'm a sinner too! LOL So, it did ruffle me a bit. It reminded me of when Dole answered a question on Lesbians. I did not like it.

I agree with absolutely everything he's said except the contraception thing, which I'm willing to look past for the sake of this country's well being.

But I agree he may be a little extreme for the general election. I say it's worth a shot though, if a socialist community organizer who goes to a liberation theology church can win the general election, so can a guy who's a little to extremely right on everything.
