But, what about people doing the busting when they have committed sins or even similar sins in the past? Does that count as fair or a hypocrisy? That is my point - present or past - is it hypocrisy?
Yes. If they are "sending someone to hell."

Re: **preacher forums**

One reason not to publicly name them is for their families sake. They do not deserve to be hurt by gossip.

The hypocrisy part, they should stand before their congregation and openly confess and ask for forgiveness, if they are pastors. IMO

Excellent on both points! And a public forum should especially heed number one.

I'm glad you brought up this point. I wonder if the church was more in unity, so much so, that confessing your faults one to another would avoid so much of this continued secrecy in sin. If we truly trusted each other to forgive and help, would we be more apt to go for help, confess our faults?

I remember Nona Freeman talking about walking into a church and this tremendous feeling! She asked the Lord what it was. He responded, "This is perfect unity."

She could only say that she had experienced that "once" in her life time? I want to examine myself to find out what I could be doing or not doing to bring about unity. It takes each individual - one by one.

Excellent point.

I believe God would prefer us to be more transparent.

Yes, that is the point I think. And then they can be lovingly restored. Maybe not to leadership, but still a part of the body. And that should be for all, not just preachers or pastors.
