Agreed.
It is a unnecessary inconvenience to others and the decision to consistently pursue such is outside any consideration of others.

Re: Do You Have Any Quirks?
My husband and I usually arrive to parties on time. Not at all early. Neither of us want to jabber any longer than we have to. It has nothing to do with "fashion".

Differently than men do.
Differently than the clock does.
Differently than the sun does.
And yet there is discussion as to who is right?
Go figure.

I think that time is a considered factor depending on the event. You need to be on time when you have a scheduled appointment, i.e. doctor, lawyer, etc. Other things make sense, i.e., church, school/college classes, etc.
And other things, like parties, are more flexible and dependent upon locale. If I am hosting a party, I hope that you don't arrive early or on time. Just don't arrive 30 minutes late. And stay, at least, one hour so that you won't hurt my feelings.

Time is time.
You have simply decided to show up at a time differing from the invitation. The time you show up is also time. It's just later than the start time.
Time is, still, time.

Being late to parties or whatever is not a quirk.

Re: Do You Have Any Quirks?
Being late accidentally, is poor time management. Being late on purpose, is selfish and rude. Usually that person wants to be noticed, or the center of attention. And takes that away from the host or hostess.
