Hey, all's I can attest to is my own experience. I hear from God. Believe it or not. Your choice.
"My sheep hear my voice..."
If you aren't hearing from God, perhaps it's because you are too far away from Him.
My experience is different. And it could be because I'm far away from God, or it could be that God really doesn't speak to people, or it could be that God picks and chooses for whatever reason (like He does for all types of miracles).
BTW, there have been many times when I thought God was speaking to me, in the past. Not sure I would have been adamant about that claim, as some are, but it made sense to me at the time. Looking back, there is no way I could have known if He did or did not.
Perhaps you have a special method that I didn't have, somehow incapable of mistaking a thought of your own from a thought planted specifically by God. Can you share this method with us? "My sheep hear my voice" is not good enough, of course. Anyone could think they know God's voice but be mistaken. You might put Mormons in that boat, e.g. Lining up with God's word doesn't prove it, either. Plenty of self-produced thoughts could do that, and especially for someone who knows the word very well.

To get back to the thread's topic, what do you think Richard Gazowsky would say if you asked him if he is 100% sure that God told him to make a movie? And yet it seems the majority of posters here feel that He did not. I'm really not sure how they arrive at that conclusion, but there it is.

I don't think I'm any more special than anyone else. I believe we are all special.
I believe ALL believers can "hear" from God. I'm not sure that all are AUDIO, tho. God will speak to your heart or your mind. I do believe some people are more sensitive to the spirit than others. Truthfully, I'm not 100% sure mine were AUDIO (I was THAT lost in the spirit) ... but they were as good as being audio. It was ingrained (sp) in my mind in some fashion.
One of my messages I didn't even know what it meant at the time, so I KNOW it wasn't my own thought!!! It took another situation to happen months later, then God's words immediately flooded my mind, and I was like, OOOOOHHHHH that's what you meant. Now I understand!
Anyway, carry on your debate. Or discussion. Or whatever you are doing. Like you say, "I know that I know what I know." I'm sorry I'm not a better witness to relay it to you. Lord, help me to be a better witness.
