Re: New Star Trek Movie

I just hope that the next ST movie is a lot better than the last X-Files movie. I was SORELY disappointed with it when I saw it, not on my monitor, or in a theatre, but on my computer screen! Nevertheless, I thought it was extremely poorly done, unimaginative, and completely unlike the others. I have always been a sci-fi fan and thus have loved Star Trek from my youth. Generations, IMO, was one of, if not the best!

Re: New Star Trek Movie

I'll wait 'till it's on DVD, than go to redbox and rent it for a buck. The price of going to a movie theatre is outragous, especially the snacks.

Bejor for Bejorans!

Therefore within Star Trek it repeated the same thread of thought over and over again. When I was young I remember an episode called the "cage." In that episode Roddenberry tried to convay how thoughts of hate were more powerful than the toughts of intelligence.

How the intellectuals always overcome the brawn and violent.

Romulans (intelligent) vs Klingons (brutish, and violent), in all the Star Trek episodes story lines concerning good vs evil. Yet, both groups against the Federation the ultimate good.

Babylon 5 was British?

Battle Star Galatica was pretty cheesy, so was Baylon 5.

I know I asked this before, but was Roddenberry and deist, or atheist?

Thank you, so I was correct. Not only a knee jerk responce, but a hint of Bruce Lee roundhouse added because you see my family and I outside the realm of your tribe. "You know what your dealing with" no knee jerk responce.

"What's that? Just turn it off?" "No sir, that will not suffice." "Yes, I realize it requires you to unbolt it from the cabinet and carry it down 10 flights of stairs, but I see no other option."

I ask, and they remove it. For some strange reason you seem to have a bigger problem with it then they do. I guess that could be because I tip the hotel help and you steal the towels.

If I remember correctly, the writer of the Babylon 5 series 1st went to Paramount with the concept and they rejected it.

When it was picked up and actually produced; Paramount came up with DS9.

I could be wrong but I believe Starlog magazine ran a story about it.

Seems the general consensus of professor google...that he was atheist and humanist.

Was Babylon 5 British?

What was the episode of Star Trek called that had the two individuals who were half black and half white?

Now that is interesting. There was an episode that had a planet, which had adopted the Roman Empire beliefs, and it also had a movement that worshiped the Sun. Come to find out at the end of the episode Lt. Ohura picks up a radio transmission of a debate on what these Sun worshipers believed. They weren't Sun worshipers but Son worshipers. I said all that to say this, for being a humanist Roddenberry painted the Christians in a positive light.

Thanks for the answer.

From what I can find, he was raised Southern Baptist.
