One could choose to paint every Obama supporter as ignorant and ghetto, and someone else could choose to paint every McCain supporter as ignorant and racist. Both would be wrong and borderline ignorant themselves in my honest opinion.
I have a feeling this post is aimed at me and I want to make sure you know I have never said that all of Obama's supporters are ignorant ghetto dwellers.

What I am saying is that being the first black nominee of a major party for President has caused a lot of ignorant ghetto dwellers who never previously voted and don't have a clue about issues to register and vote for Obama strictly on the basis of his skin color.

When you add those new voters to the base the Democrat party always has (90% of Blacks, majority of Jewish voters, majority of union voters, mushy headed college students and their professors, etc) and then add to that the independents so unhappy with Bush and the economy who will break for Obama it is a miracle that McCain isn't 20 points behind n the polls.

Last but not least in addition in addition to motiviating racist blacks to register to vote for him Obama's soaring rhetoric and empty catch phrases have capatured the imagination of college kids in a way like no other canidate in memory so for once they are actually turning out to vote as they see it as a historic moment. A chance to usher in socialism and the first black canidate in history.

"We did not wear uniforms. The lady workers dressed in the current fashions of the day, ...silks...satins...jewels or whatever they happened to possess. They were very smartly turned out, so that they made an impressive appearance on the streets where a large part of our work was conducted in the early years.

"It was not until long after, when former Holiness preachers had become part of us, that strict plainness of dress began to be taught.

"Although Entire Sanctification was preached at the beginning of the Movement, it was from a Wesleyan viewpoint, and had in it very little of the later Holiness Movement characteristics. Nothing was ever said about apparel, for everyone was so taken up with the Lord that mode of dress seemingly never occurred to any of us."

Alright now, you've gone too far on this one bub.

First, you have used a broad brush and painted way to many under your blanket of "right wing zealots".
Now since that could be insinuating anyone who is right of your position, including me, that junk just ain't gonna fly.

You will not insinuate that those of us on the "right" are racists and hold views like you stated above without being called on it.

I have physically fought white trash ignorant morons who insulted my black friends, and I will certainly not just sit here without saying anything when someone insinuates that I am racist and hold views like you stated above.

You may have your opinions, you and I may disagree strongly and that's fine.
But that's a line you need not cross.

You are insinuating that anyone right of center is racist, and without morals by stating we encourage racism or voting for "The right guy for the wrong reason."

You can keep your antagonistic style of posting if you want for all I care, but you will be called out for such trash as this. It needs to stop.

.

To the bolded statement, I agree, but you also have to realize that while there are some "ignorant ghetto dwellers" who voted for Obama for his color.
There are also "ignorant white trash morons" who vote against him for his color. I think it evens out.

The underlined statements I personally feel are the main reason Obama has reached the political position he has.
I honestly believe that if Americans really knew him for what he REALLY believes, and stands for, he would never have the slightest chance at the presidency. The mainstream media, and a continuosly left leaning education system prevent that from happening.

Just stating the facts......again 2+2= 4. We still don't have transparent elections in this country. He who casts the vote decides nothing, it's WHO COUNTS THE VOTES that decides eveything. And for all you people on this board that voted for Boy George Bush in 2000 and 2004 you only have yourselves to blame, because without this last 7 years of the Bush/Cheney Regime there is NO OBAMA. People are so blinded by their hatred for Bush that there willing to give blind credence to OBAMA as their savior.

Mr. TRFrance.....history is like a timeline....as I said, without a Bush Regime there would be no Obama. It's not a matter of GETTING OVER ANYTHING. It's a matter a of being mindful of what's happened in previous elections, and if you voted Bush in 2000 and 2004, your just as much to blame for the Obama ascendancy to prominence as anyone.

I see your point, and it has some validity, But I have to disagree on this wise.
Many who voted Bush the last two elections simply felt that Gore and Kerry must be stopped at all costs, even if it meant getting Bush.

I think many of us still feel that way, even though we are highly dissatisfied with Bush.

We would have LOVED to vote for a better candidate.
