I'm glad they kept the camera off Whoopie as much as they did - her disgust was hard to hard - I can't stand her.
Yes, it was very pleasant and you don't feel like he's just saying things people want to hear - it's what he really thinks!
Yes, and he didn't speak at her as much as the others. She is just so......polite society doesn't say! lol
He moved the attention back to himself and that was a very good thing.
I know everyone was pleased with Palin, but I was disappointed. So disappointed that I'm not reading any news today. Sorry, Renda. I was so down after the interview I couldn't sleep. lol
John & Cindy McCain are on The View today and doing quite well I might add.
They asked Cindy if she knew how many houses she has and she said "that's not part of this campaign. My parents worked very hard all their life and were able to take care of me and that allows us to have a very good life". I thought that was a great answer.
They showed a picture of their wedding and they were a handsome couple - - she was beautiful.
I watched it and was very pleased... whoopie tried to get him, but he was a champ!!
As far as palin last night... look this is her first interview, she knew all eyes were on her... I am sure she will become more relaxed as she does more interviews.
I am rooting for her!
I didn't see anything but a 10 second clip of Barabar Waltars harrassing McCain about what reform / change Palin would do.
The View is a joke. I would rather go to the dentist for a root canal than watch that show.

"We did not wear uniforms. The lady workers dressed in the current fashions of the day, ...silks...satins...jewels or whatever they happened to possess. They were very smartly turned out, so that they made an impressive appearance on the streets where a large part of our work was conducted in the early years.
"It was not until long after, when former Holiness preachers had become part of us, that strict plainness of dress began to be taught.

Nothing was ever said about apparel, for everyone was so taken up with the Lord that mode of dress seemingly never occurred to any of us."

did that idiot whoopie actually say something about needing to be worried about becoming a slave again if McCain gets elected?

Amen to that!
One thing that I kept in mind while watching is that the liberal women were watching also. I wanted to see what they were viewing and what they may have come away with. Of course, closed minded people, including myself on issues, may very well not take anything away from it, but I just wanted to see for myself.
I liked the interview and I will say, over all, all of the women were more respectful than I had anticipated. I have to say that Whoopie kept her place pretty well too! It made me wonder if they had an agreement on that. lol

Yup. He should have just told her that was silly and not worth responding to. It really shows the great intellect of the American left.
