Re: Sarah Palin: Pentecostal?
I am reading the wikipedia writings.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sarah_Palin
Personal life and family
Sarah was originally baptized as a Catholic, but was rebaptized at age 12 by the Wasilla Assembly of God Church.[8] She currently worships at The Church on the Rock, an independent congregation, and describes herself as a non-denominational Christian.[89]

She married Todd Palin, her boyfriend since high school in 1988.[4] The two eloped on Aug 29, 1988.[4] The Palin family lives in Wasilla, about 45 miles (72 km) north of Anchorage.
The Palins have two sons (Track, 19, and Trig, four months) and three daughters (Bristol, 17; Willow, 14; and Piper, 7) [Ages as of August 2008].[90] Todd Palin has said Track's name came from the interest Sarah's parents had in the sport; Bristol was named after Bristol Bay in Alaska, where Todd grew up and where he does commercial fishing; Willow was named after Willow, Alaska; Piper got her name because it is uncommon and "a cool name"; Trig's name is Norse for "strength".[91] She gave birth to Trig on April 18, 2008, while in office as governor. Though she announced that she was pregnant only during the start of her third trimester and one month before Trig was born, her pregnancy is reported to have surprised Alaskans, including her staff.[92] After her water broke, on the day of Trig's delivery, Palin delivered a keynote address in Texas and then flew 8 hours to Alaska.[93] She returned to the office three days after delivering the child.[94][26] The baby, as prenatal genetic testing had shown, has Down syndrome;[95] Palin's decision to have the baby was applauded by the pro-life community.[96][97] Track enlisted in the U.S. Army on September 11, 2007, subsequently joining an infantry brigade, and Palin has said he will be deployed to Iraq on September 11, 2008.[98][99] Alan Colmes has reported that Track was born on April 20, 1989, less than eight months after the Palins' elopement.[100]
Todd Palin[101] works for the oil company BP in a non-managerial position[102] and works as a fisherman in his hometown in the summers. He is a world champion snowmobiler, winning the 2,000-mile (3,200 km) "Iron Dog" race four times.[4] Neither her husband nor her son Track are registered Republicans, and neither have ever registered with a political party;[103] over half of Alaskans are registered as nonpartisan or undeclared.[104]
Palin hunts, ice fishes, eats mooseburgers, rides snowmobiles, has run a marathon, and owns a float plane.[27][105] According to her spokeswoman, Palin has traveled abroad twice: once to Ireland, and in 2007 to Germany and Kuwait, where she met with members of the Alaska National Guard.[106]
Sarah Palin's sister is Molly McCann, the former wife of Mike Wooten.[107] McCann and Wooten were divorced in 2005.[107]
This quoting in Washington Post saying: "Gregg Erickson: You are right: smart and tenacious are good words to describe our governor. She was in Texas this spring when her water broke. Rather than staying there to have the baby, she jumped on a plan for an 11-hour flight back to Alaska, so her baby would be a Alaskan-born."[108] So, this kind of issues make problem judgment, which didn't made sense for safety of baby and lying to Alaska airlines to avoid policy. But one more issues could be fake pregancy, which speculating daughter pregancy, which only 16 years old and due to opposition to abortion.[109]

Re: Republican Vice-Pres. Nominee is Pentecostal
Church on the Rock is not the name of the church that I saw in an article and quote from her pastor. It was something or other "Bible Church".

Titus2woman on AFF
"We did not wear uniforms. The lady workers dressed in the current fashions of the day, ...silks...satins...jewels or whatever they happened to possess. They were very smartly turned out, so that they made an impressive appearance on the streets where a large part of our work was conducted in the early years.
"It was not until long after, when former Holiness preachers had become part of us, that strict plainness of dress began to be taught.
"Although Entire Sanctification was preached at the beginning of the Movement, it was from a Wesleyan viewpoint, and had in it very little of the later Holiness Movement characteristics. Nothing was ever said about apparel, for everyone was so taken up with the Lord that mode of dress seemingly never occurred to any of us."

It is not a matter of party. It is a matter of who is willing to
do what is right and pleasing to God, whether Republican or
Democrat. There are many in the Democratic Pro-Life For Life.
In the past some have left the Democratic Party because they
could not go along with the issues the Demos chose to identify
with.
Our late father's family were all democrats until they were
ashamed to be anymore. That was after they found truth in
the inward parts.( i.e. they found the truth) The Light dispelled
the darkness!! Thank God for the true Light! They that sat
in darkness, saw the Light!
Dear Bro. Light,
Hopefully you were not offended by my above statements.
I still stand by my statement that it is not about being Republican
or Democrat. It is about being a Christian and pleasing the One who
we are supposed to be representing. Jesus Christ. The mention of
my family was because after they found the Lord Jesus Christ and start-
ed following Him, their desires, values, and way of living changed. That
began to happen before I was born. But I can assure you, it has affected
me for all of my 68 yrs. From the time my grandmother and her young son,
my father, heard the gospel message and obeyed it, it has affected our
family for five generations. It has been about pleasing God,. not man.
Grandparents, Dad and Mom and other godly influences have passed
on, but their God is still the same that resides in me and many others
today. Jesus Christ the same, yesterday, today and forever.
Yes, dear Brother, we were taught godly principles, but there came a
time we had to be fully persuaded in our own minds. My convictions and
I believe it speaks also for those we have influenced and raised in our
home, not a one of them would vote for a man or woman that would be
in favor of mothers consenting to having their unborn baby killed inside
or outside the womb. And that goes for the man/woman that did the
killing. I would fear to put my approval on a candidate that could or
would do that. We all have the priviledge of voting for whoever we
choose. I would not have ANY confidence in a minister who would vote
for someone who has no problem with abortion.
Now, do I think the lady that Sen. John McCain selected for a running
mate with him in this election has truth. Truth about what, Bro. Light?
We are not choosing a pastor's wife or Ladies Auxillary President! We
are choosing for leadership in the government of our great nation. May
America began to bless God. HE has certainly blessed America and shed
His Grace on Her!!
I think ONE of the things that would please GOD first of all, is for the un-
godly decision of 1973, Roe vs Wade, overturned, and a SPIRIT of mourning,
and REPENTANCE come to this nation. Then go from there, seeking God on
a NATIONAL level, and coming down to every state, county, city and home.
That decision in 1973 was based on a LIE (now that's truth). No lie is of
the truth. If you are a pastor or minister, you would know that.
It was SO refreshing to me as a mother of six adult children and 20 grand-
children, all living for God, to hear someone chosen to run for a national
office, to say she "was as pro-life as you could get". Yes, I believe she
has truth. Again, we are not talking about the doctrine or truth as in the
plan of salvation, etc. That not what this election is about. But you have
to start somewhere and it sounds like she is ahead of some who claim to
know the "truth" of which I assume you are speaking.
Bro. Light, where are the men who claim to have "truth". Have they made
themselves available to be President or Vice-President! Do you know many
men that have run for these or other offices that have "truth".
I heard a wise lady many years ago say, "Honey, if he won't do it, you
do it! Somebody's gotta do it". That effected me for I have seen in life
and in the church many women that have had to "obey God and live for
God" without their husbands every taking any kind of step in leading the
family they fathered to God. YES, Bro. Light, "If the men won't do it, we
have to do it, because someone's got to take a stand for RIGHTEOUSNESS.
God bless the WONDERFUL MEN of GOD that have and are taking their
responsibility in leading their families in the way of righteousness.
Now, just what kind of truth were you talking about the "woman" having!
Dear Brother, I mean no offence. You asked a question. Just endeavoring
to answer it!
Blessings,
Falla39

Who said I was upset by the rambling. I don't usually read the Essa type post. This time I did, trying to find the answer, but to no avail.

Just seemed that she was very polite to you, but you were very rude to her.
