One reason...they don't have high malpractice insurance to defend doctors in courts. They have regional health care courts where health care professionals evaluate the performance of doctors. I have friends and family in Canada and for years now my wife and I go there nearly every year (accept this year, we go to San Fransisco, at no cost to us, praise the Lord). I always invite people who fear universal health insurance to come to a Canadian forum and discuss this with REAL Canadians with me. Most don't take me up on it. lol

America's health care system is far worse than most realize.

Are you not aware the majority of medical students are foreigners? I just left a very promient medical college where you couldn't pronounce the majoritiy fo the students names. Many come here and get their education and then go back to their countries to practice what they learned here. Of course, a LOT of them remain here where the money is.

In many large city hospitals a large percentage of medical staff ain't from here.

They say they can do better. I'm not happy with the current bunch working for me. So, I'm going to fire them and see if these Democratic cats can deliver. If they don't, I'll have learned my lesson and will work to fire them the next election.

I'm not sold out to either party really. I've considered voting Libertarian, but they don't really have any viable solutions to the health care issue.
