There are reasons so many great members have left....they just couldn't take anymore.....I will probably be banned for my statements, but you can get on here and defile everything that is Sacred and get away with it.....

I think he is just as tired of seeing what he perceives as apostate as I was tired of seeing men of God sending everyone who disagreed with man-made standards straight to hell.

Eventually you find some middle ground if you feel this is a place you'd like to stick around and hang out at. Most of us are here to argue our own viewpoints, and to stay connected to friends. If that's not for you, stop grumbling and move on.

We talked about this recently. This is what I noticed and I
stand by it. I go back to the FCF and for some reason, the
XUPCers, XApostolics and the traditional Pentecostals debated
but we didn't divide like it is now. I have no Idea why it worked
then and can't work now. JIm Y. himself was a liberal as was
Newman but the libs and folks like Epley and Old Path co-existed.

The middle ground is fast dissapearing, and this has become the dwelling place of everything that is Anathema to all we have stood for since way back.....
If you want to tear down Apostolic doctrine and traditions, start a forum called We are the Malcontents forum or post on SpiritualAbuse.org or whatever.

I go back to FCF, and it is differant now, the inmates have taken over and anything goes....(of course saying what I have probably wont) and men and woman of strong conviction no longer feel welcome.

I think there's some merit to the thought that a lot of bashing takes place. I took a break myself a month or so ago. At least a couple of weeks. That's a long time in forum land. It's irritating when issues are set aside and character and men are attacked instead.

However, I also don't like it when true issues and problems are hushed up and rarely addressed by key leadership, AND I truly dislike it when an organization that is supposed to be founded on The Truth shores up unbiblical doctrines by allowing the twisting of scripture, because it is a means to an end.

I feel the same distaste that I feel when our country, which is founded on good principles, participates in nefarious activities that go against principle, and then pretends it's nose is clean. But that doesn't mean I don't still love my country. It just makes me sad.

More than that, though, it bothers me that brethren who should love one another are back biting each other, and destroying one another's reputations and tearing down and ripping apart. It's a shame to the entire church, not just the UPCI or the people doing the damage.

I remember my father defending Kenneth Phillips to other preachers who tried to criticize him. He would always point out that KP loved souls, and had a good heart, and was working for the kingdom. And we all knew that my father would have personally disagreed with KP on LOTS of issues. So I saw my father defend the character of a man who didn't share his beliefs. I hope I can be like him when I grow up.
