May God use them all in their many differences to win a lost and dying world.
I have no fights...with anyone except the devil....

Re: Branson Meeting
I have been told that the attendance is somewhere between 8-900 with 5-600 preachers/ministers.

Re: Branson Meeting
Sometimes God uses differences to reach the world...men fuss and fight and run to the world to preach..I hope we can have the spirit of the Lord and see whatever group as Jesus did...if they are not against Jesus that is the most important thing...

Amen, I have not ruled out the possibility (or likelyhood) that God may use this for His glory, and propel the Gospel forward using both factions in a way that was not possible before!

My perspective of all of this is shaded by my concern of what potential impact some of these things can have on global evangelism...which I'm sure we can all agree is our primary purpose as a church.
With my parents being on the mission field for more than 25 years, I can appreciate some of the stories about things possibly not being done perfectly by every missionary. But I don't have the time to even begin to teall all the great success stories that I know as well.

I know you are new here, but that's okay, everyone takes the time to bump their own posts now and then and toot their own horn a little.
I totally appreciate how you feel about missions. But without organization, how would we send our 30, 40, 50 bucks a month? Would we send it to Bob in Uganda? To Janie in Belgium? Without organization precious resources are wasted. When the Bible says that everything should be done in order, we do our best to get the best bang for the buck.
I disagree about the tango travesty. This forum wails and gnashes its teeth when the AoG are disparaged, when Charasmatics are exposed for what they are, but an Apostolic fellowship of bretheren can be belittled and discounted to being a tango? Rot and filth is what I call that hypocrisy.

You seem to have a problem with this forum, yet you still come and post your distaste for it. Why don't you focus on all the other things and get your eyes off the few things you don't like?

I am reminded of Paul and Barnabas. They has such differing views on qualifications for the ministry that they could no long work together. Acts 15:36-41.
Of course, it was the guy with the "higher standards" (Paul) who would realize how wrong he was, much later in his life. 2 Timothy 4:11.

Hiya, Dimples.
Just trying to give love a chance.
Online forums that are relatively anonymous give peole a good chance to be hypocritical and inconsistent. For instance, one person can say something out of one side of the mouth then speak out of the other side of his mouth under another screen name.
It is easy to slap people on the back when you agree with them. When a place has moved to all sides of a spectrum as FCF-NFCF-AFF has the movement can be stabilized if people keep to principles and not innuendo, back slapping, knee jerk, or status quo. Obviously this forum has moved to an altogether different world.
Why come around and momentarily leave lurk land? Oh, I suppose it's morbid curiosity. Why do people slow down to look at accidents? Why do people gather around a house burning down? Dunno. But when people say things about people, situations I hold dear, I respond even if it is only once in awhile. Maybe I ought to really just close the casket like most other good bretheren have.
