I heard another wheel barrow story as a kid. I think it was my Dad who said inflation got so bad in Germany at one time that if a person found a wheelbarrow full of money he would dump out the money and steal the wheelbarrow. Is that where we are heading now with the Feds printing and dumping money into the economy?

This is the story I always think of when an issue like this comes up.

The point that is missed is that they all do the same evil. There is no good side or bad side. There are only varying flavors of bad... but bad remains.

You are correct. We can swap the name "Obama" for "Bush" and the same is true.

Sometimes, though, the complain is a non-issue made out to be something much more than it is. It's not about the person being "evil" at all. Most of us are so far removed from the humanity behind these candidates that we see everything as a huge conspiracy with evil people plotting for the end of the world. Too much Austin Powers.

Besides, it's interesting how the Arab states are privately asking for a smack down of Iran over their nuclear program (from the cables released by WikiLeaks). Maybe they feel the need to arm themselves against an agressive Iran?

The first, most recent and only man I ever knew that actually drew the Muslims together was Saddam Hussein. He did draw them together and they fight each other for hundreds of years like in dog fights.

You must have missed years and years of reporting on the Saddam regime and his Baath party relationships with the (minority) Sunni Muslims.

Persecution of the Shia Muslims / Kurds by the Baath party and use of chemical weapons against the Kurds were (some) of the atrocities of the regime.

Nowhere will you find any data indicating that Saddam "drew" these two groups of Muslims together.
