And you thot the basal ganglia controlled some heavy duty complex function like reading Hebrew and translating into Engrish.
Actually the word is reflexive response and not conscious responses from the ganglia. You don't have to think about it. it doesn't require "Knowing".

Dorsolateral prefrontal cortex (dlPFC) is a learning center.
In the prefrontal cortex there are very few dopamine transporting proteins, and dopamine is instead inactivated by reuptake via the norepinephrine transporter, presumably on neighboring norepinephrine neurons, then enzymatic breakdown by catechol_O_methyl transferase (COMT) into 3-methoxytyramine.

Re: apostolic pastor leaves child in car that died
MOW - I'm with you on the irresponsibility and zero excuses. I just don't think those sentiments help the situation after the fact. This father is going to blame himself forever, no doubt. I can't imagine how the mother feels...and what this will do to their relationship.
It's tragic because a life was lost through carelessness. Other children have lost their lives because their parents didn't buckle them up or watch them closely enough next to the pool. Even when it's negligence, unless it was intentional rather than thoughtlessness, I can't really call it anything but a tragedy. Does the father deserve punishment/prosecution of some sort? Maybe. Will it serve any real purpose? Other than to make a public example of him? No.

Re: apostolic pastor leaves child in car that died
The law says the child seat should be in the back seat. If there is only one adult, the statistical probability of being forgotten would be lower if in the front passenger seat.

God can turn bullets into Jello to protect the innocent.
Sometimes, He does intervene in situations, keeping bad things from happening or from going too bad.
