I don't totally disagree with what you are saying, but what good does it do us to be in Afghanistan when our borders are unprotected? Terrorists could more or less walk right in if they really wanted to. The money we are putting out to keep our soldiers over there could be used here for other things. I guess it's a rock and a hard place. We are quickly bankrupting our country though and something needs to change.

Unfortunately it's not the money. It's the will. Our government does not want to really protect the borders.

I've come to this conclusion too.

I was stoked when I was on the border there in Arizona. Stoked when heard gun shots. Stoked to be part of something so cloesely connected to our country physically.

Then I thought about the money they were spending on us and wondered why they just wouldn't finish the wall.

Obama has done the same thing. Sending Troops to the border is at least something. However, the country would just be much better off if someone in Washington would simply allocate the funds to finish building the wall.

We can send people to the moon and sustain them there, but we can't build a wall?

No, they just don't want to build the wall.

No, they just don't want to build the wall.
Or even better....a virtual wall. Since a wall is made to be climbed, just as mountains are.

The virtual wall is made up of sensors, areal drones and even towers that can turn on a sonic weapon similar to the ones used on ships to deter pirates

Re: So When Things Really Start Looking Up...

WASHINGTON -- The tally of newly laid-off workers requesting unemployment benefits rose last week for the first time in five weeks as the job market remains sluggish.

Initial claims for jobless aid rose by 12,000 to a seasonally adjusted 465,000, the Labor Department said Thursday. Many economists had expected a flat reading or small drop.
