Re: Burning the Koran
OK. I disagree with the Mosque, for the reasons I've stated before which includes the heightened animosity towards Muslims.
I opposed the book burning for similar reasons
However I DO think we Christians need to do more. I am all for teaching on and against Islam in our churches but doing it in love. Yes you can teach about Islam in Love. You can teach on Historical, Political and Religious Islam in negative terms and still do it in Love.
Christians that learn of this stuff should not be politicized, rather we should be motivated to pray more, love them more and reach out more.
However, on the other hand, there was little outrage that Christians were not allowed to pass out tracts to Muslims outside of Muslim events. If that is considered inflammatory, then I refuse to bow to fear. This is not SA or Israel, where passing out tracts is illegal. We can reach them in Love. You don't burn their book. You don't argue with them and shout and get angry. IF they have a problem with you reaching them in Love or getting mad that we teach on Islam in our churches, I don't think we should bow to fear as they have in other nations that are not ruled by Islam

Re: Burning the Koran
If Muslims believed the bible is the word of God, they'd believe Jesus is the Son of God and they'd believe what he said. Instead they deny it saying the bible is corrupted and only the Quran tells us of the true path of God.
BTW did he ever denounced what the terrorists do? No he justified it. He justified attacking Christians and American based on the isolated actions of one man. That's the Islamic world. They told us it was for America's foreign policy. Now they tell us if someone in America burns a Quran we are all worthy of being attacked and killed.

Re: Burning the Koran
They get all bent up about this, but then if you get caught in their airports with a bible they take it from your luggage and shred it in front of you. Too many of them you get whipped or executed.

Re: Burning the Koran
Mike Adams
The Audacity of Smoke
Quote:
The President of the United States of America is a dishonest man. He is also a poor excuse for a constitutional law scholar. Both of these accusations can be supported by looking at his handling of the recent controversies involving the Ground Zero mosque and an unhinged pastor’s planned burning of the Koran.
When the Ground Zero mosque controversy broke out, President Obama had this to say about religious freedom:
“As a citizen, and as President, I believe that Muslims have the same right to practice their religion as everyone else in this country. And that includes the right to build a place of worship and a community center on private property in Lower Manhattan, in accordance with local laws and ordinances. This is America. And our commitment to religious freedom must be unshakable. The principle that people of all faiths are welcome in this country and that they will not be treated differently by their government is essential to who we are.”
A few weeks later, when the Koran-burning controversy broke out, President Obama had this to say about religious freedom:
"If he's listening, I hope he understands that what he’s proposing to do is completely contrary to our values as Americans. That this country has been built on the notion of freedom and religious tolerance.”
What the President should have said was that Muslims a) Have a legal right to engage in offensive religious expression by building a mosque near Ground Zero but that b) It would be a very bad idea to do so because it would make Muslims look like uncouth barbarians.
The President could have then maintained consistency by saying that Christians a) Have a legal right to engage in offensive religious expression by burning the Koran but that b) It would be a very bad idea to do so because it would make Christians look like uncouth barbarians.

No one endangers life. If they stampede it may or may not be dangerous.
Bad analogy and often wrong.
You can yell "hey stupid idiot" in a room
It is also legal and just watch how many heads pop thinking someone is calling for them,
In this case the libs and the media are the idiots and react to a small churh pastor. It is funny.
