Gen 6:2 KJV - That Seth's people saw the daughters of men that they [were] fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose.

Gen 6:4 KJV - There were giants in the earth in those days;

Notice it does not say the giants were the sons of God or the offspring of them.

If you read verse 1 you see that this all came to occur when men multiplied over the earth. Cain's line had been separate, and Seth's line, the godly, eventually met with Cain's line.

Gen 6:1 KJV And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them,

When men began to multiply - It was not at this time that men began to multiply, but the inspired penman speaks now of a fact which had taken place long before. As there is a distinction made here between men and those called the sons of God, it is generally supposed that the immediate posterity of Cain and that of Seth are intended. The first were mere men, such as fallen nature may produce, degenerate sons of a degenerate father, governed by the desire of the flesh, the desire of the eye, and the pride of life. The others were sons of God, not angels, as some have dreamed, but such as were, according to our Lord’s doctrine, born again, born from above, Joh_3:3, Joh_3:5,Joh_3:6, etc., and made children of God by the influence of the Holy Spirit, Gal_5:6. The former were apostates from the true religion, the latter were those among whom it was preserved and cultivated. Dr. Wall supposes the first verses of this chapter should be paraphrased thus: “When men began to multiply on the earth, the chief men took wives of all the handsome poor women they chose. There were tyrants in the earth in those days; and also after the antediluvian days powerful men had unlawful connections with the inferior women, and the children which sprang from this illicit commerce were the renowned heroes of antiquity, of whom the heathens made their gods.”

and also after that, when the Seth's people came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare [children] to them, the same [became] mighty men which [were] of old, men of renown.

Job 1:6 KJV - Now there was a day when the Seth's people came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan came also among them.

The sons of God in Job would not be the same as the sons of God in Genesis 6.

Even Revelation says the angels are brethren of the saints. So in some contexts it is angels and in others is men who are God's people.

Rev 12:10 KJV And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night.


Rev 19:10 KJV And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto me, See thou do it not: I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.

I believe that the man Christ Jesus was fully human with human body, soul, and spirit. However, that humanity was sinless, just as Adam was prior to the fall. For this reason, I believe, Paul called Christ the "second Adam":

I Corinthians 15:45
45And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit.

Thus Christ, the Son of God, was a perfect and sinless man who was in an inseparable spiritual union with God the Father.
